Day 5 of Vacation Bible School featured the Bible Buddy Howie the Howler Monkey! Students learned that God is El Olam – The Everlasting God! We got a snapshot of John's vision of the special place Jesus is preparing for us and learned that someday, Jesus will come back and take us to be in that special place with Him forever!
Our memory verse was Psalm 115:18- But we can praise the Lord both now and forever! Praise the Lord!

Day 4 of VBS, students learned God is Jehovah Ahavah - God is Love. They traveled to A. D. 33 where they saw a descendant of David from days 2 & 3, show others the character of God, and then die to pay the price for our sin - not His own sin - He was put on trial and declared innocent! He died for our sin!
Today's Bible Buddy was Tia, the Giant Anteater.

Day 2 of VBS students learned that God is El Roi - the God who sees me! They looked at how David's heart was not seen by his brothers or dad but very much seen by God and how Psalm 139 is his song about how God sees him. Our Bible Buddy was Seymour, the Glass Frog.
Day 3 of VBS students learned that God is Jehovah Machsi - God our Refuge, our hiding place. They joined David running from hiding place to hiding place as Saul tried to kill him and saw how David's time in a Hide-And-Go-Seek-For-The-Sake-Of-Your-Life taught him that God is his hiding place and how to trust God. Our Bible Buddy was Dottie, the Ocelot.

This week in VBS, we are exploring the character of God. Today we learned that God is the Creator. The elementary students even learned the Hebrew name of God the Creator! And not only is He the Creator but everything He created is very good! And He merely spoke it into existence! We can't do that! (We tried.)
Our Bible Buddy for today is Tango, a quetzal!
