Sugarland Memory Gardens Memorial Park and Monument Company Memorial park and Mausoleum Sugarland was founded on August 17, 1976 by the Daviess County Cemetery Association INC. Myers, Ronald L. Arvin and James Pirkle.

The original board members were Donald R Crosby who served as President, Flavian Myers SR., Jay E. On December 5,1978 the first plots were sold to Bernie and Gladys Gross and only one month later on January 10, 1979, the first interment was made upon the death of Virginia Gress. The Mausoleum was dedicated in September 1992 with 300 crypts and 48 niches on the front of the mausoleum. The Mausoleum

is heated and air conditioned and has a Chapel with chairs to accommodate families for committal services and for visitation and other funeral services. Sugarland has five gardens for ground burial. Garden of Christus, Garden of Prayer (Babyland), Garden of Meditation and Court of Military Honor, which all require flat bronze on granite memorials only. The Garden of Crucifixion is the only garden at Sugarland that requires upright monuments.

Position: Summer Grounds Crew (As Needed)

Pay: $15.00 / Hour (Paid Weekly!)

Schedule: Daytime Hours | NO WEEKENDS Are you looking for a flexible summer job that keeps you active and outdoors? Sugarland Memory Gardens is currently seeking reliable individuals to join our summer mowing and grounds maintenance team.

This is an "as-needed" position with strictly daytime hours and absolutely no weekend shifts. Whether you are a high school or college student home for the summer, or a retiree looking to stay active and earn some extra weekly income, this is a fantastic opportunity!

What You Will Do:
• Operate a mower and/or w**d eater to maintain the cemetery grounds.
• Work standard 8-hour daytime shifts (minus scheduled lunch and breaks).
• Help keep our grounds looking pristine and welcoming for visitors.

Requirements:
• Must be able to comfortably operate a mower and w**d eater for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to work outdoors in hot summer weather.
• Must meet the physical demands of the job, which include continuous standing, bending, stooping, and walking.
• Reliable, punctual, and respectful of the cemetery environment.
