Seed of Faith Ministries To serve as a platform to plant faith in Jesus Christ, and nurture faith in believers.

I am a teaching Pastor who firmly believes in the truths stated in Ephesians 4:11-12. This page is a component of this ministry's missionary work to those believers who enjoy the fellowship, but are seeking a deeper exposure and consideration of the Word. Through the Seeds of Faith, Wisdom, and Prayerful consideration, we intend to strengthen God's people to walk more strongly in both Love and Authority.

Happy In The Rock
Psalm 4:7-8 "You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety."

Three Things
1. God puts gladness in our heart
2. Joy not related to increase
3. We are at peace, and safe with God

God's gift of gladness and peace comes because He loves us. The circumstances we face do not diminish His protection, shelter and provision. Scripture reminds us that He leads us beside still waters, and prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies. The riches of society are fleeting. The provision and protection of God is eternal. Seek the safety found in the cleft of The Rock. Happiness is there.

Wait For the Best
Proverbs 9:19 "But he does not know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of hell."

Three Things
1. Sin is a strong temptation
2. We don't know the danger there
3. Sin leads to death and hell

It has been said, "What looks good to you may not be good for you!" Scripture reminds us that we can be tempted by the pleasures of sin, but the wages of sin is death. The path to sin leads away from God. When we turn from sin, we move toward God, who has the best waiting for us. Scripture says about God, "in His right hand are pleasures forevermore." If we wait for Him, we get the best.

Kinder, Gentler Soldier
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 "Watch, stand strong in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love."

Our requirement to perform as soldiers for the Lord includes being watchful, strong, and brave. That is a bare minimum for warriors of the faith serving the Lord. Scripture reminds us to not be entangled in the affairs of life, but to seek to please God. And if we do everything that we do with love, that would be pleasing to the God of love. Could it be that God seeks a kinder, gentler soldier? Tough to protect; gentle to love. That is a unique skill set. But Jesus set the example.

All That
Psalm 68:35 "O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people."

Three Things
1. God is awesome
2. Nothing compares to Him
3. He gives strength and power to His people

What a privilege to serve the God of all creation. Nothing compares to Him because He created it all. Because He loves His people, He gives us strength and power to accomplish all we are called to perform. If you have not experienced that, maybe you are not His. Or, as scripture reminds us, you have not because you ask not. Trust in God, He is able, willing, and waiting. He is all that.

Clear Out Idols
Isaiah 2:8 "Their land is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands. That which their own fingers have made."

Three Things
1. Idols displease God
2. A land filled with idols will not be blessed by God
3. Some worship the work of their own hands

Society chooses the focus of their worship. That choice determines the path of their success. Scripture reminds us to choose whom we will serve. When we worship God, He will bless us. His commandment restricts us from worshipping any other gods. If we build it and worship it, it is an idol. Did the career you built become an idol? Or your wealth? How about your family? When it comes before the worship of God, it is time to consider its' status. Tolerate no idols. God doesn't.

Not Today, Satan
Luke 4:8 "And Jesus answered and said to him, 'Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"

The voice of sin encourages wrong. Wrong thinking, wrong desires, and wrong behavior. Satan is so confident in his ability to sway humanity that he even tried to tempt Jesus. The Word of God is the best response to any temptation to turn from the path of righteousness. Don't waste time being angry at the situation. Just consider the facts and stand on the Word of God. Let your response be "Not today, Satan! I am busy being about my Father's business." There is grace to overcome when you focus on God.

Stop and Think
Psalm 46:11 "The Lord of Hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge."

Three Things
1. The God of Jacob is Lord of Hosts
2. As children of God, He is with us
3. Before life circumstances make you panic, think about our refuge

World events make some live in fear. But if you have faith in Christ, scripture reminds us that we belong to Him. He is our refuge, the protection against disaster. But that doesn't matter if we do not think about it. When times go bad - think. When others reject you - think. When you doubt yourself - think. You may remember that God gave His Son for you. Why would He leave you hopeless. Don't panic. Stop and think.

No Joking Matter
Proverb 26:18-19 Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows and death, is the man who deceives his neighbor, and says, "I was only joking."

Three Things
1. Those who are careless with dangerous things are mad
2, They have no conscience
3. Deception is no joking matter

Some people are callous in regards to evil. Scripture reminds us that we can have our hearts seared, unable to feel our own feelings or respond to our conscience. They deceive their own neighbors , and refuse to take responsibility for the pain they cause others. Be aware of such. Let discernment walk ahead of you, and refuse to trust or accept their lies. Deception leads to death. That is no joking matter.

Alone With God
Acts 13:2-3 "As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." Then having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away."

Only God knows the plans He has for you. Although it may be pleasant, and seem safer, He may separate you from the group for Himself. There He may craft you into the person He needs you to be. Without the influence, opinions, and peer pressure, God can provide more strength, wisdom, and faith for the challenges ahead. If you refuse to hear the message, God will separate the group from you. Many of God's strongest leaders were forged in the desert. Alone with God is a privilege; don't fear it. Get away from the noise. God has something to say to you. Alone.
