Seed of Faith Ministries

Seed of Faith Ministries To serve as a platform to plant faith in Jesus Christ, and nurture faith in believers.

I am a teaching Pastor who firmly believes in the truths stated in Ephesians 4:11-12. This page is a component of this ministry's missionary work to those believers who enjoy the fellowship, but are seeking a deeper exposure and consideration of the Word. Through the Seeds of Faith, Wisdom, and Prayerful consideration, we intend to strengthen God's people to walk more strongly in both Love and Authority.

Plain Words
Proverbs 8:9 "They are all plain to him who understands; and right to those who find knowledge."

Three Things
1. Wisdom speaks plainly
2. Those who seek understanding hear
3. Those who find knowledge know what is right

Wisdom is a foreign concept to those who refuse to understand, or have not found knowledge. Others just refuse to hear words of wisdom. Scripture reminds us that those who have decided to be ignorant, let them remain ignorant. Wisdom is a life-long learning process, honored by those who realize its' value. For those who reject wisdom, no words are plain enough.

The Right Impression
2 Corinthians 10_10-11 "For his letters", they say, "are weighty and powerful! But his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible." Let such a person consider that what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such we will also be in deed when we are present."

Paul sounds like a strict parent saying to his children in effect, "Don't make me come in there!". Many judge us by appearance, not understanding the power of words. Scripture reminds us that God spoke, and formed the heavens and the earth. Words are formed in the heart, and spoken or written from the abundance of the heart. Don't give words that do not represent you. Appearances may be deceiving, but your words are an impression of who you are. Make the right impression.

Basic Humanity
Proverbs 1:18-19 "But they lie in wait for their own blood. They lurk secretly for their own lives. So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain. It takes away the life of its owners."

Three Things
1. Evil people lie lurking in secret
2. Greed makes people sneaky
3. They lose their life to greed

Evil people lurk in hidden places, willing to sacrifice their own lives for greed. Scripture reminds us that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. We are to live with thankfulness for what God has given, and to be willing to share with those in need. Greed is selfish. There is more than enough if we care just a little more. That is just basic humanity.

One Living God
Acts 19:25-26 "He called them together with the workers of similar occupation, and said, "Men, you know that we have our prosperity in this trade. Moreover, you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands."

Nothing angers people more than to mess with their money. Even truth will be pushed to the side if money is the goal. Religion is easily compromised or rejected in the push to fortune. Scripture reminds us that God is not mocked, and whatever we sow, we shall reap. We are wise to sow faith in God. That is an eternal investment that cannot fail. Trusting in a god made with human hands is just foolish. There is only one Living God. Trust Him.

Listen Up
Psalm 78:1 "Give ear, O My people, to My law: incline your ears to the words of My mouth,"

Three Things
1. The Lord speaks to His people
2. He speaks through law, and by the words of His mouth
3. We are encouraged to hear

Our lives are guided by the Word of God. His law gives warnings, and His Word gives grace. Scripture reminds us that if we have ears, we should hear what the Spirit says. The rebellion of refusing to hear leads to painful results. But when we hear and obey, God can show us great and mighty things. This journey requires a guide who is wise, and loves us. When He speaks - listen up!

Not The Same
Proverbs 25:26 "A righteous man who falters before the wicked is like a murky spring and a polluted well."

Three Things
1. Righteous men should stand for righteousness
2. When they bow down before wickedness, it is wrong
3. Their actions taint their witness

Some declare their righteousness, faith and holiness. But when they embrace and support the wicked, they are revealing themselves. Scripture reminds us that the truth will be revealed before the congregation. Hear the words of the deceiver, but weigh them against their actions. Self-righteousness does not equal true righteousness. They are not the same.

Thanks For Your Service
1 Corinthians 1:4-6 "I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched by Him in all utterance and all knowledge even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,"

God has provided all grace and knowledge through Jesus Christ. We are enriched by Him in our life of seeking and serving Him. Our resulting life of obedience confirms in us the testimony of Christ. What a privilege to know Jesus Christ, and to seek the knowledge of Him. When we serve God by serving and loving His people, God Himself will thank us for our service.

The Good God
Psalm 34:10 "The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing."

Three Things
1. Nature has natural laws
2. Faith in God is supernatural
3. Good comes to those who seek God

Survival of the strongest is spoken as being acceptable. So if even the king of the jungle goes hungry, that is the way things are. Scripture reminds us that God knows how to provide good gifts to His children. Don't live in the darkness of doubt, beloved. Seek the Lord in all things, without doubting, and He will bring it to pass. He is the God of love and goodness.

Priceless Treasure
Proverbs 18:22 "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord."

Three Things
1. A wife is a good thing
2. Husbands must find her
3. God's favor comes with that wife

Treasure is often hidden, and takes effort to discover. Scripture reminds us that a good man, out of the treasure of his heart, brings forth what is good. If that man is searching for a wife, God's favor will bring a good thing into his life. Diligent seeking and doing good will result in receiving good. Patience and maturity helps us recognize God's favor. Then we can cherish what God provides. His gifts are always priceless. That is especially true in the case of a good wife.

Divine Structure of Love
1 Corinthians 11:1-3 "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."

There is a structure regarding relationship and authority. Society cannot destroy the organizational chart set by God. God first, Christ next, man, and woman. Each with specific assignments and skills. When godly women connect to godly men who follow Christ, the blessing of God flows abundantly. This succession is not just authority. It is a structure of responsibility and love. A divine structure.
