God, it can be difficult to love those who have mistreated me, but I know You love them—so I want to love them too. Encourage me to pray for those I am too hurt to be around. Give me the courage to go out of my way and to be kind to those who are unkind. And provide me with the strength I need to forgive them. Interesting perspective on interest rates from Visual Capitalist. A 300 basis point jump in 6 months is one of the fastest rate increases in decades but as you can see below rate increases do not always lead to recessions. Inverted yield curves do however seem to be a strong indicator.

Note the recessions (blue shaded bars) that have come after inverted yield curves (yellow shading)....

On the positive side the labor market is still strong and businesses seem to be in a better financial position than previous time periods.

God, because You love me, I want to love others better. Sometimes I compare myself to those around me and I find it hard to be happy when they receive a blessing. In those moments, help me to remember that I’m blessed and created uniquely. Regardless of how I feel, help me to love them well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Crucial play on adding value and gaining clients in changing economic times👇

Business is never about what you can’t do.

Instead, what CAN you do?

It changing economic times what people can do for customers may become more limited. That makes sense.

But even if your menu changes, don’t start with what is no longer an option for people. Don’t start with “the good old days are over”, or “we’re tightening down the hatches so we can answer to our investors.”

No one cares. People care about what you can do for them now.

Leading with “no” is exhausting. Work hard to say yes.
