Message: HE TRUSTED GOD! (When Faith Becomes Evidence in the Pit)

Scripture: Daniel 6:23b — ”…because he trusted in his God.”

Today, we were reminded that real faith is not proven on the mountaintop, it is revealed in the pit. Daniel’s deliverance was not based on luck, popularity, or position. It was based on one thing: He Trusted God!

POINT 1: FAITH THAT DOESN’T FOLD UNDER PRESSURE

Daniel refused to compromise even when the pressure was intense. When the culture demanded conformity, Daniel remained committed to God. Faith that only works when life is easy is convenience, but faith that stands when the lions are roaring is conviction.

POINT 2: INTEGRITY WILL GET YOU TALKED ABOUT BEFORE IT GETS YOU TARGETED

Daniel’s enemies couldn’t find fault in his character, so they attacked his commitment to God. Your integrity may make some people uncomfortable, but don’t lower your standards to satisfy their opinions. Keep doing what’s right—even when it costs.

POINT 3: GOD DOESN’T ALWAYS STOP THE DEN—HE SHUTS THE MOUTHS INSIDE IT

God didn’t keep Daniel out of the lion’s den, but He met him there. Sometimes God doesn’t remove the trial; He demonstrates His power in the middle of it. The same God who allowed the den is the God who controlled what was inside it.

POINT 4: TRUST IS THE TRIGGER FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION

The Bible says Daniel was delivered “because he trusted in his God.” Trust opens the door for God to move in ways that human strength never could. When you trust God completely, you position yourself to witness His power personally.

🙌🏾 Today’s TAKEAWAY:

Your den is not your destiny.
Your pressure is not your punishment.
Your trial is not your tomb.

If God doesn’t change the situation immediately, trust that He is still present in it. The God who shut the mouths of lions is still able to silence every force that comes against His children.

Faith became evidence in the pit because Daniel trusted God.

🎮✨ GPT Youth Department Takes on Dave & Buster’s! ✨🎮

What an amazing day of fun, fellowship, laughter, and unforgettable memories with the Youth Department of Greater Pleasant Temple!

From exciting games and friendly competition to great conversations and plenty of smiles, our youth enjoyed a well-deserved day of entertainment at Dave & Buster’s. More importantly, it was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen friendships, build community, and spend quality time together outside the church walls.

We believe that ministry is not only about what happens in the sanctuary, but also about creating meaningful moments that encourage connection, growth, and fellowship. Seeing our young people laughing, encouraging one another, and simply enjoying being together was truly a blessing.

A special thank you to our youth leaders, parents, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this outing possible. Your support continues to make a difference in the lives of our young people.

🎣✨ HOOKED ON JESUS! ✨🎣

What an amazing time we had at our Annual Vacation Bible School in partnership with Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church of Valdosta!

Our theme, “Hooked On Jesus” (Matthew 4:19), reminded us that Jesus calls each of us to follow Him and become fishers of people. Throughout the week, we enjoyed engaging lessons, uplifting fellowship, fun activities, and most importantly, spending time studying and growing in God’s Word.

We are grateful for every child, volunteer, teacher, parent, and church member who helped make this VBS a tremendous success. Thank you for your love, support, and dedication to sharing the Gospel with the next generation.

As we leave VBS, may we continue to stay hooked on Jesus and committed to following His call every day!

Today, Heaven rejoiced as lives publicly declared their faith through baptism. We praise God for every individual who went down in the water and came up walking in newness of life!

What a powerful reminder that God is still saving, restoring, and changing lives!

The Spirit MOVED in the Temple today! 🙌🏾

📖 Scripture: Matthew 9:21 (NKJV)
Sermon Title: “THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT”

“We find this woman in Matthew chapter 9…”

She is broke…
Bleeding…
Broken…
Ashamed…
Weak…
Rejected…
Unclean according to Jewish law…

BUT she heard that JESUS was passing by!

And whenever Jesus passes by… miracles begin moving through the atmosphere!

This woman didn’t ask for a microphone.
She didn’t ask for attention.
She didn’t ask to stand on stage.

She simply declared:

“If I can JUST touch the hem of His garment… I SHALL be made whole.”

Not maybe.
Not perhaps.
Not hopefully.

“I SHALL be made whole!”

That’s faith talking!
That’s desperate faith!
That’s mountain-moving faith!
That’s “I’ve tried everything else” faith!

POINT 1 — Sometimes your miracle is born out of desperation.

POINT 2 — There is power in what’s connected to Jesus.

POINT 3 — One touch from Jesus can change your whole story.

And today, we were reminded that all it takes is ONE touch from the Master’s hand! 🙌🏾
