Don’t forget to join us tomorrow evening as we welcome Bishop Dease as the new episcopal leader of the South Georgia Annual Conference! A welcome celebration will be held on Sunday, September 15, from 5pm - 7pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Warner Robins (129 S Houston Rd). A BBQ dinner will be served, and there will be music, games, bouncy houses, and more. All South Georgia clergy and laity are invited to join the fun! We hope to see you there!

Roll out the Red Carpet for Easter!
Hospitality is not just a good suggestion for the church, it’s essential to the church. Hospitality wasn’t just something nice people did for others, it was core to the culture of the early church. What would it look like to recapture that sense of hospitality, not so we can just get people to come back, but purely and simply from a heart of love for our neighbors? In this zoom we will explore how to reinfuse a culture of hospitality in our congregations and then discuss how this can lead to effective guest welcoming and follow-up. We will include a round table discussion with clergy practitioners from our conference to hear and share what is working and not working for them. What better time to re-engage your church’s hospitality than right in time for Easter! Join us for one of the two zoom times on Feb. 22, 6-7pm or Feb. 23, noon-1pm.

My heart swelled Monday night as I walked into The Methodist Home for Children & Youth for the Set-up Meeting. I am so proud to serve the clergy and laity of the NCD. I was worried because last minute your new District Superintendent asked you to do something in a week that most churches take all month to prepare. In fact, many of you were already doing it for your own local community.

But the clergy and laity of the North Central District showed up in a BIG way. Not only did we pack 50 book bags (which your district apportionments paid for) that were full of supplies for all the children & youth on campus but they have enough to share with those who are being fostered! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I would also like to give a huge shout-out to the NCD Board of Missions for supporting this mission project by buying bookbags, which they could only do because of each church's generous district apportionment giving this past year.

Thank you to Cannon McClain for providing the music, all those who participated in the service, and our connectional ministry people for all that you do.

Finally, but certainly not least, thank you to The Methodist Home for Children & Youth for hosting and for all their staff who were all hands on deck to help out anywhere they could from unloading and sorting supplies so they could be packed to checking in clergy to providing our communion elements and let's not forget the wonderful meal! Thank you all!

Happy Fourth of July Week,

It is my honor to be the new District Superintendent of the North Central District - South Georgia Conference. I hope that you all are taking the time to enjoying family and friends at some point in this week as we celebrate our freedom as a country. I pray that this might also be a reminder of our ultimate freedom from sin and death in Christ Jesus.

We are beginning new systems this week. Below are some of the changes you should be aware of.

District Office Changes: The district office is officially closed. This district administrator's email and district phone number is being shut down. I would like to welcome our new District Administrator, Mrs. Cindy Rollins. She will be the Administrator for all of the districts. I look forward to working with Cindy and I know that you all will find her very helpful.
