A Weekend of FUN, FAITH, and REMEMBRANCE at Pollard UMC!

We have a wonderful weekend planned at Pollard United Methodist Church, and YOU are invited! Bring your family, invite a friend, and come join us!

Fun for Everyone!

Location: Our Theater parking lot, weather permitting. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll move the festivities inside to our gym!

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1 | ALL SAINTS SUNDAY & HOLY COMMUNION

Sunday School: 9:30 AM
Worship: 11:00 AM

This Sunday, we gather for a beautiful and meaningful time of worship as we celebrate All Saints Sunday.

Together, we will remember and give thanks for the lives of those who have entered the Church Triumphant this past year. Through their lives and witness, we celebrate the life, love, and resurrection hope of Jesus Christ.

We will also gather at the Lord's Table to share in Holy Communion, remembering that in Christ, we are united as one family of faith.

Scripture: 1 John 3:1–3
Sermon: "What We Will Be"

John reminds us, "Beloved, we are God's children now." What a beautiful promise! We belong to God today, and through Christ, our future is filled with hope.

Mission Moments at Pollard UMC — Loving Our Neighbors!

At Pollard United Methodist Church, we believe that faith is more than something we talk about on Sunday mornings. It is something we live out through love, service, and caring for our neighbors!

This month, we have been blessed with several wonderful opportunities to put that love into action!

Feeding College Students: We had the joy of serving lunch to students at Tyler Junior College, sharing not only a meal but also a little encouragement and the love of Christ.

Remembering a Faithful Friend: We dedicated our new golf cart in loving memory of Ted Roberts, who passed away earlier this year. What a meaningful way to honor Ted’s memory and celebrate the lasting impact of a life connected to our church family.

Wrapping Children in Love: Our Pollard Methodist Women have been busy making and delivering hand-tied fleece nap blankets to Head Start classrooms. Each blanket is a simple but beautiful reminder that even our youngest neighbors are loved and cared for.

These are just a few of the many ways our Pollard family reaches beyond the walls of our church to serve our community and beyond.

Why do we do these things? Because Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). We believe that God’s love is meant to be shared, not simply spoken about.

Sometimes that love looks like a warm meal, sometimes a soft blanket, and sometimes a meaningful act of remembrance. But in every moment, we hope people experience the grace and love of Jesus Christ.

At Pollard UMC, loving our neighbors isn’t just something we say. It’s who we are called to be!

Thanks be to God for every person who helps make these mission moments possible!

This Sunday, we wrap up our Rebuilding with Hope series with “Renewed for the Future” from Nehemiah 8:1–12.

The wall was the project. The people were the mission.

As we celebrate Commitment Sunday and look toward 2027, we'll be reminded that God is still at work, building a community of faith, hope, and love.
