Join us for a weekend of spiritual renewal and community revival on Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20. As downtown Tyler celebrates its transformation, we’ll gather to celebrate Christianity’s enduring truths and the distinct beliefs of the Methodist faith.

The weekend begins on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. with dinner from Don Juan’s and family-friendly comedy from Ron Pearson. We then have the privilege of hearing from Rev. Ryan Barnett, COO of the MidTexas Conference of the GMC and co-author of Profoundly Christian, Distinctly Methodist. In a world increasingly divided, the Christian life finds its fullest expression in community, united by timeless truth and a shared mission that is profoundly Christian and distinctly Methodist.

On Sunday, Rev. Ryan Barnett and Rev. Rusty Freeman will be preaching, followed by lunch, roundtable discussion, and Q&A with Rev. Barnett.

This weekend is for your whole family — kids will enjoy a game night on Saturday, and a special outing to Liberty Hall on Sunday.

Even when we cling to the comforts of this world and are reluctant to take up our cross, He continues to call us to follow Him in love and faith.

The Kindergarten Tour was a sweet time of exploring worship spaces with pastors, sharing in communion, and preparing our kinder kids as they began attending "big church" with their church family. They received their Big Church Bag, Bible, and lots of goodies to keep them busy during worship.

Every year, the Eternal Flame Fund Dinner serves as a reminder that what we invest in today will impact generations we may never meet.

Caring for our church campus is about more than maintenance. It is about stewarding a place where lives are changed, faith is nurtured, families grow, and people encounter God’s presence.

The Eternal Flame Fund supports projects at Marvin Methodist Church that are not covered by the annual operating budget, helping ensure our campus remains a welcoming and vibrant place for ministry. One hundred percent of every gift to the Eternal Flame Fund is used for church projects as determined by the Church Properties Committee.

What we participate in today will outlive us. The question is: will we be faithful in this moment and with the opportunities God has entrusted to us?
