On Nov. 15, we will officially consecrate our new Létourneau Organ, Opus 139, during our 8:30 and 11 a.m. traditional worship services.

To consecrate something is to dedicate it to God's service for the work of worship. Together, we will give thanks for this remarkable instrument and dedicate it to the glory of God, trusting that it will enrich worship at Marvin for generations to come.

We are also honored to welcome Bishop Emeritus Scott J. Jones as our guest preacher as we celebrate this significant milestone in the life of our church.

Don't miss this historic moment in the life of Marvin Methodist Church.

Today, we prayerfully commit our gifts and resources to support God’s work and remember that true treasure is found not in what we keep, but in faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to us.

We knew it would be fun. We didn't expect it to be this much fun.

There is something special about seeing downtown Tyler filled with families making memories, kids running from game to game, and neighbors enjoying an evening together. We had an absolute blast at the 3rd annual Brick Street Block Party, and we're grateful to everyone who came out to be part of it!

Thank you to First Baptist Church Tyler and Christ Church Episcopal for partnering with us, and thank you to every volunteer and guest who helped make the night such a success. We couldn't have asked for a better evening.

As we leave worship today, we ask ourselves the question- what would our calendar, our bank account, and our search history say matter the most to us? We enter into the week reminding ourselves of not only what matters, but the One who matters.

10/15/2026

The countdown is on! The Brick Street Block Party is happening this Sunday, Oct. 18, from 5-7 p.m. Come enjoy a fun-filled evening with carnival rides, bounce houses, face painting, hayrides, candy, delicious food, and activities for all ages.

It's FREE, it's family-friendly, and it's the perfect way to celebrate the season together. For more information, visit marvin.church/bsbp2026.

We are burying into the ground, digging holes for comfort and safety and security rather than bringing to life what God has brought into us. Watch the entire message, "Maximizing What Has Been Entrusted to Us", on our YouTube channel: youtube.com/

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we could not miss the opportunity to express our gratitude for each of our pastors. Thank you for leading our congregation with excellence, cultivating a heart for worship, prioritizing discipleship, and casting vision for the advancement of God's Kingdom.

Every day, God is using your faithful "yes" to His call to ministry to do beautiful work in and through the lives of those at Marvin Methodist Church and far beyond. Your prayers, guidance, and servant leadership help shape our church family and inspire us to follow Jesus more closely.

Thank you for your leadership, your faithfulness, and for continually pointing us toward Christ. We are grateful for you, we pray for you, and we celebrate you this month and always.
