Sand and Sea! We wore beachy attire and learned all about dolphins from our wonderful guest speaker, Lulu Tartt, and we played a little Go Fish card game. We also “fished for compliments,” did movement with beach balls and we fed the octopus (octaband) some fish! We guessed how many shells were in the canister, we snacked on goldfish crackers and swedish fish gummies, did some fish sand art and paint with water pages. We also shared stories of our time at the beach! 😎🌊⛱️🏝️🐚🐬🦀🐠🏄‍♀️🦩🍍🥥🦜☀️

We did a little bit of everything this week! We painted birdhouses and packed 140 bags of laundry detergent pods for the Lazarus ministry. We had a wonderful show and tell segment! We also did some m&m sorting and created lovely poems!

Last week, Jim and Karen Brooks graciously hosted a wonderful Connect Volunteer Appreciation Celebration. It was a special time to honor our incredible volunteers and express our heartfelt gratitude for all they do. We are so thankful to our volunteers for their commitment, talents and dedication they bring to the Connect program. A big thank you as well to the Brooks family for opening their beautiful home to us, to Katherine Gould for the gorgeous flowers, to Sweet Olive Eats catering for the delicious food and to Julie Smith for the yummy rosemary cashew party favors!
