A memorial service will be held for FPC organist emeritus Lynn Jeffries "Jeff" Binford, Jr. on Saturday, August 1. The prelude will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow in Warner Hall. The service also will be live-streamed.

Hello again!

I am so excited for the opportunity to grow and serve the children and young families at FPC! Although I stepped out of the classroom a few years ago to serve as the Director of UKirk Ministries, my love for working with children has never faded. When this opportunity became available, it truly felt like one of those little “God winks”.

I am incredibly grateful to our church leadership and staff for creating this hybrid role that allows me to continue serving our college students while also investing in our children and families. I truly believe these ministries can strengthen one another as we help young people grow in faith from childhood through college.

My husband, Austin, and I are excited to continue building relationships with both new and familiar faces at FPC. We have a busy and fun-loving 2½-year-old daughter, Maven, and we’re also looking forward to welcoming another baby girl in January! We know firsthand the joys and challenges of raising young children and how important it is to have a church family to lean on. It takes a village!

Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or someone who is passionate about our growing our families ministry, I cannot wait to invite you to get involved more this school year.

Session has called a Congregational Meeting for this Sunday, July 26th at the beginning of the 10:00 am Worship service for the purpose of electing two deacons, Shelley Hancock and Marcella Redden, to serve the remaining term for two vacant deacon positions. There will be no other business on the agenda.

From May 17th through August 9th there will only be ONE service in the Sanctuary at 10:00 am. Sunday School will be at 9:00 am.
