After riding in peacefully on a donkey Jesus sees a fruitless fig tree and understands this is a sign of the fruitless nation in which He has entered. He clears the temple of corruption and calls out their sin.
Let us reflect on the fruit of our Spirit today. Let us confess our sin and clear our hearts of corruption. Pray with us that the Holy Spirit fills us abundantly as we know He promises to do with hearts and minds that produce good fruits: love, peace, joy, patience, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, and self control. May the fruit of the Spirit flow from us so that a dark world shines brighter because of a fruitful church, which is the hands and feet of God's people.
Holy Week is here… a sacred time to pause, reflect, and draw closer to God. ✝️
