Next Generation Tots, Kids and Confirmation classes are taking a break over the holiday weekend. They will resume next Sunday, September 13th.

September 6th - The Time of the Church
Daniel: God’s Man, God’s Plan.
Our current teaching series is God's Man, God's Plan, a study through the book of Daniel. We all need to have a robust faith in God in order to handle whatever our sovereign God brings our way. This series will expose us to a model of dynamic faith, and an awe-inspiring collection of prophecies that attest to our God being in total control of our lives. We hope you will join us on this journey, now through the Advent season.

August 30th - The Time of the Church
Daniel: God’s Man, God’s Plan.
Welcome to Fountain of Life! Whether you are a regular attender for decades, or are visiting with us for the first time, we're glad you're here. Do you know why?
The Bible says, "Since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church ... When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up... so that all may learn and all be encouraged!"(1 Cor. 14:12,26,31)
In other words, you have something for us this morning! It may be as simple as a friendly smile, hug or handshake. It may be an encouraging word for another. It may be a tear shed in prayer as you share someone's sadness. It may be an exuberant voice of praise during our singing.
In every way, we look forward to being built up in Christ this morning! Thanks for choosing to be a part of it all.

Tonight is FONT Night from 5-7pm. Join us for good food, fellowship, and praise.

August 23rd - The Time of the Church
Daniel: God’s Man, God’s Plan.
I've always loved this one-verse description of life in the early church: "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers" (Acts 2:42). These are the "devotions" of the church has when it is truly filled with the Holy Spirit.
Sundays are a great day for these devotions. We read, teach and preach the Word of God ("the apostles' teaching"). We're devoted to the weekly celebration of the broken body and spilt blood of Jesus ("the breaking of bread"). We're devoted to prayers of thanksgiving, intercession for the needy, prayers for our rulers and authorities, and seeking the Lord's strength and vision for our fulfillment of His mission ("the prayers").
We're also devoted to being together! ("the fellowship"). We get some good fellowship time during the passing of the peace, and time in the courtyard after service. But our devotion to fellowship makes us long to be together more.
That's why we have FONT NIGHT! Join us tonight from 5-7p as we feast, sing and share our lives together. There's nothing like the church, and nothing like being together as a church!

August 16th - The Time of the Church
Daniel: God’s Man, God’s Plan.
Thank you for joining us at Fountain of Life! We like to say, Christ in you, Christ to the world! As a church, we are working to make sure you have the opportunity to be discipled into the fullness of your life in Christ, so that you can make a difference in the lives of your neighbors.
Here are three ways you can grow with us: 1) Divine Service is celebrated every Sunday at 9:00a. We'll be working our way through the Old Testament book of Daniel in our series God's Man, God's Plan. 2) Pastor's Class is offered each Sunday morning after Divine Service, at 10:30a. Here we teach through The Confessions (the Lutheran Book of Concord). 3) P.R.I.S.M. Groups are offered throughout the week - for couples, men or women.
Another way to connect next weekend is our FONT NIGHT - a great chance to get to know and enjoy the Fountain of Life family! Next Sunday evening, 5-7p.
We hope you will take the next step in your discipleship by connecting more deeply with us. We're excited to see the Lord fill you, shape you, and send you!

Sunday we begin our fall study through the Old Testament book of Daniel. This is a powerful story of strong faith in the face of worldly pressures. It is also book of extraordinary prophecies about world history, and ultimately the return of Christ. We pray this study deepens both your faith in the Lord and your hope in the sovereign plan of God.

July 26th, 2026 - The Time of the Church
Romans 8:28-39
We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom He predestined He also called, and those whom He called He also justified, and those whom He justified He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He Who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God Who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one Who died—more than that, Who was raised—Who is at the right hand of God, Who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For Your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

July 19th, 2026 - The Time of the Church
Romans 8:18-27
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bo***ge to decay and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

"Sharpening the Acts, Part II: The Ethiopian Eu**ch"
Acts 8:26-40
An angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place. And he rose and went. And there was an Ethiopian, a eu**ch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship and was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah. And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.” So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep He was led to the slaughter and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so He opens not His mouth. In His humiliation justice was denied Him. Who can describe His generation? For His life is taken away from the earth.” And the eu**ch said to Philip, “About whom, I ask you, does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?” Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus. And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eu**ch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eu**ch, and he baptized him. And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eu**ch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing. But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he preached the gospel to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.
