This past Sunday, March 22, we had the blessing of serving our local community in East Tucson for LOVE LOUD 2026! Jesus has given his life for us, so that we may know Jesus and have eternal life with God. Out of gratitude to him, we want to love him and love our neighbors as ourselves.

"We love because [God] first loved us."
- 1 John 4:19

Church, God calls us to be and share the light of our Lord Jesus in all corners of the world! Let's pray together the words of Acts 13:47 and seek the Lord's presence and guidance to lead us into our next for his glory.

This Christmas Eve, we reflect on the truth that the best, most awesome, most amazing thing we receive on Christmas is Jesus Christ himself. The Son of God, the second Person of the Trinity, left heaven and became a human being for these reasons: to teach us his Way in the Kingdom of God, to die on the cross in our place so that we could be saved from our sins, and to be raised from the dead, so that we can experience resurrection and new life through him. If you are disciple of Jesus today, spend some time worshiping him for who he is and what he has done. If you are not yet a disciple of Jesus, we encourage you to reflect on these truths and whether today is the day that you will experience his love, presence, forgiveness, and joy!

You are invited to a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 22nd Street Baptist Church today from 5-6 PM! We would love to meet you and tell you about the hope we have because of Jesus! Click below for more details.

During the fourth week of Advent, we remind ourselves of this awesome, shocking truth - we are loved by the almighty, just, great God and Creator of the universe! Wherever you are in life right now, whatever you have done, no matter what mistakes you've made, God loves you. In loving you, he calls you to turn away from sin and turn to him for forgiveness and an eternal relationship with him and other disciples of Jesus. It is Jesus who secured this for us, first by being born!

"Jesus, remind us today that you love us. You loved us before we ever loved you. You loved us when we hated you and rejected your commands. Lord, we pray this Christmas that some who have been far from you would experience the depth and the joy of your love for them. We pray that the knowledge of your love would move them to make the most of you - directing their whole lives to you, for your glory, to make you known, to be transformed by discipleship to you. In your name we pray. Amen."

Pray these words this week and point someone close to you to Jesus!

During the third week of Advent, we reflect on the joy we can have only through our Lord, Jesus Christ.

"Lord Jesus, there are so many people today who live constantly with a sense of despair and hopelessness. You know who they are. You know their names, their struggles, their doubts. You know what's happened to them, what they've told no one else, what they wish they could forget. You know how lonely they feel, how much it seems like no one else cares. Lord, your presence is our joy. Knowing you is the fullness of joy. We pray this week that those who do not yet know you may know you - and that they may know the joy of your presence and be freed from despair. For those of us who are Christians and still sometimes feel depressed and without joy, we pray that you would fill us with your presence and a renewed sense of the purpose and abundant life we have in you. In your name we pray. Amen."

During the second week of Advent, we reflect on the peace we can have through our Lord, Jesus Christ.

"Lord Jesus, we live in a fallen world rocked by constant conflict and turmoil. We feel it in our relationships, in ourselves, and in our world in so many ways. Your Word also tells us that because of sin, our relationship with you, oh God, is broken. But you came down to the earth as a human baby to offer us peace with God. As we surrender to you, we can experience peace in our world. Lord, we pray for those who do not have peace, that they may experience your presence this Christmas in the stillness of reflection and worship of you for all that you've done for us. We pray that many who do not yet have peace might experience it for the first time this Christmas, as they turn to you and place their faith in you. In your name we pray. Amen."

Pray these words this week and point someone close to you to Jesus!

As the 22nd Street Baptist Church Christmas Eve Candlelight Service approaches, we want to take some time to contemplate what our Lord Jesus' birth brings to the world. This week, we reflect in prayer on the hope that we have because of Jesus Christ.

"Lord Jesus, through your birth as a human baby, hope is brought into the world. So many in our world live with hopelessness and despair. Their world is dark. There seems to be no light or hope for a future for them. Through Jesus, however, there is hope for life abundant and eternal. This week, help us to reflect on the hope we have because of Jesus, hope that is ours even in the midst of our suffering and trials in this life. Help us to share the hope of Jesus Christ with someone around us who needs it with love, in the hope that they will come to know you. In your name we pray. Amen."

Pray these words this week and point someone close to you to Jesus!
