Galatians 6:1–5 teaches us that strong relationships make room for both compassion and responsibility. We are called to bear one another’s burdens, restore one another gently, and recognize the responsibilities each person must carry before God.

No home is perfect—and no relationship stays healthy by accident.

This Sunday, we begin a new sermon series:

Stronger Together: Building Healthier Relationships at Home

The people closest to us often receive both our greatest love and our deepest frustration. Busy schedules, unresolved conflict, stress, poor communication, and old wounds can leave even strong relationships feeling strained.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll explore practical, faith-filled ways to listen better, share life’s burdens, navigate conflict with grace, and begin again when things have gone wrong.

This series is for every kind of household—married or single, parents and children, siblings, roommates, blended families, chosen family, and anyone who wants to build healthier relationships with the people they love.

You don’t need a perfect home. You don’t need to pretend everything is fine. Come as you are, and let’s discover how the grace of Jesus can help us grow stronger together.

Monday Reflection 💙

Yesterday, Rev. Dr. Lee Strawhun invited us to wrestle with a simple but challenging question:

By whose authority are we living?

In Luke 7, the centurion recognizes something about Jesus that others are still trying to understand. He trusts Jesus enough to say, “Say the word…”

That kind of faith is more than agreeing with Jesus. It is trusting Jesus enough to let Christ shape the way we live.

One of the sermon’s clearest reminders was this:

Kingdom authority is character, purpose, and surrender.

It shows up in the kind of people we are becoming, the purpose that guides our lives, and our willingness to place ourselves in God’s hands.

So maybe the question for Monday isn’t simply, “What did I hear yesterday?”

Maybe it is:

What will I surrender today?
Where is God asking me to act?
Whose voice is shaping the way I live?

The good news is that Jesus does not simply send us out and leave us on our own. Christ promises, “I am with you always.”

May what we heard on Sunday become something we live on Monday.

This Sunday, we come together as one church for worship, and we are grateful to welcome Rev. Dr. Lee Strawhun as our guest preacher.

He will be preaching “By Whose Authority?” from Luke 7:1–10, reflecting on the story of the centurion and Jesus.

In this passage, we encounter a powerful question about faith, trust, and the authority of Christ. The centurion’s words still speak today:

“Say the word…”

What does it mean to trust Jesus fully?
What does it mean to recognize Christ’s authority in our lives?
And how might faith lead us toward deeper humility, obedience, and hope?
