Have you ever questioned someone's motives for dancing in church? Wondering..."are they're dancing for attention" or label it "wrong" or "not of God?” But what if it is of God? Then we would have to become as foolish as the dancer and that might require us to lose our pride to do that! They have step past fear, past judgement, past embarassment, past perfection, past people's assumptions, for every. single. move. Every movement they prove that God is more important than their pride and any opinion of them. Perhaps it’s time to give the dancer the floor the same way we give a worship leader the platform.
Those who choose to dance WILL attract attention...and that's the hardest part. It's much easier to cringe at the thought or think movement is for our “spiritually extroverted friends” but instead we must overcome fear of man to love Him in that moment just like David because He is worth Michal's judgement & our “nakedness.” He's worth every step.

I posted a note the other day that contained a prayer for the weary and it has disappeared. I wanted to try again... it really ministered to my spirit, and I wanted to encourage YOU. If you are tired, weary - FATIGUED... may the Word of God was over you - a river of REFRESHING today. God bless you!

Oh Lord, everlasting God,

Though I’m worn down, you are never weary. I may falter and fail, but you never faint. O Lord, your energy and power are boundless. You created and uphold everything, always and forever. You are the one true and forever God, always the same—All-powerful, All-wonderful, God of gods, Lord over all things. Who is like you?

I am but a breath, a mist, the dew that evaporates with the sun. I am weary and worn, here and then gone.

YET.

I wait on you. I trust in you. I worship and wonder at you. You tell me unimaginable, radical truths about your love for me. So, I cling to them. I cling to you. You are my beloved ONLY, very Dad of very dads, my true Husband, my dearest Friend. Who is like you—wanting the unwanted, inviting in the outcast? Even me. Surely, there is no one, not in all the earth like you.

Once I didn’t know you, now I know. Once I ran away and stopped my ears, now I strain to listen. Once my heart was icy, but you breathed in warmth and revived my soul.

Now, I have strength, though I am weary. I have power, though I’m weak. It is not mine, but all yours. Out of the riches of your ceaseless abundance you lavish on me everything I need.

Surely, you are upside-down in all your ways. Who can understand you? You sacrifice for your enemy, for the love of the unlovable, the other, the rebel who spits in your face…

For me.

O help me learn from you. Make me upside-down too. Out of the abundance of your love, let me love others. Let me serve like you serve us all, without needing any thanks. Let me love, even when I’m spurned. Only you can give me power and courage and forbearance to not grow weary. You make the impossible possible. It all depends on you, not me. Help me love this way, today.

Jeanine Durning and I were to be in Haiti this weekend... we had to cancel due to political uprisings... we would have been north of the earthquake location and would have felt its tremors! Please pray for this nation, it's people and the Ecclesia there! As today comes to a close, the death toll is now around 1300 people. News articles are talking about children and entire families perishing as their homes crumbled and collapsed around them. There is more heartache to come.

Vital medical supplies have been purchased and will be delivered this week. Security is still an issue so we are still working on the best and safest logistical solution.
