THIS WEEK! May, not June!

Revelation is an ongoing demand. When we open the text together, we stand at Sinai all over again.

This Thursday night, we embrace the tradition of Tikkun Leil Shavuot, staying up late to wrestle with Jewish obligation and history. The hard work of learning requires proper sustenance, so we will gather around a dairy feast of pizza and cheesecake to feed the body while we challenge the mind.

On Friday evening, our community will congregate for festival services to hear the Ten Commandments chanted directly from the scroll. God spoke to our ancestors, and it remains our responsibility to listen today. Come to Temple Beth Sholom this week to claim your inheritance and renew the covenant.

Tikkun Leil Shavuot: Thursday, May 21 | 7:00 PM – Midnight
Shavuot Service: Friday, May 22 | 6:30 PM

Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace; strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
