Lester Raymer created St. David’s stunning Christus Rex, processional cross, and altar candle holders.

Today we're celebrating the abundance of creativity in our state with a look at Kansas artist Lester Raymer (1907–1991) 🌻

Lester Raymer studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, where he developed the skills to become an accomplished painter and printmaker. Later, he explored less traditional mediums and materials, from sculptures made of everyday objects to toys and furniture. Much of his innovative work can be seen at the Red Barn Studio in Lindsborg, Kansas, where he lived for almost 50 years.
