This week we remember St. John's, Wichita in the diocesan cycle of prayer:

Almighty and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven
and earth, hear our prayers for this parish family. Strengthen
the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent.
Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring
us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

🚨 Phishing Alert 🚨

Members of the diocesan staff will never send you emails that look or sound like this: “I am currently busy in a prayer session right now and can't take calls. I have a request I need you to handle please reply my email and I’ll share the details.”

Neither will they ever ask you to buy gift cards nor ask for sensitive personal information (yours or others, including member lists or directories) by email.

Scammers use email or text messages to trick you into giving them your personal and financial information. But there are several ways to protect yourself.

Happening #100 will be held June 26-28 at St. David's, Topeka. Happening is a Christian Experience by youth for youth. It’s a weekend retreat, focusing on Jesus and what he taught. There are games, music, great food, and a chance to talk with peers about things that really matter. Students “go through” Happening only once, after that, they may come back and serve on Happening staff, recreating the experience for others. This week we remember the youth ministries of the diocese, especially the campers and staff who will be at Episcopal Summer Camp next week!

God our Father, you see your children growing up in an
unsteady and confusing world: Show them that your ways
give more life than the ways of the world, and that following
you is better than chasing after selfish goals. Help them to
take failure, not as a measure of their worth, but as a chance
for a new start. Give them strength to hold their faith in you,
and to keep alive their joy in your creation; through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.

Chad Senuta, Director of Communications for the diocese, wrote the devotions for d365.org this week. d365 is a daily devotion written for youth and adults. The devotions follow a five-step format – Pause, Listen, Think, Pray, Go. Typically, an author writes on a single theme for one week. In these devotions, readers will find honest struggles and questions, all in the context of real faith. As you read, think about your own response to the scripture for the day. The writer’s words serve as background for conversation with God.

O Judge of the nations, we remember before you with grateful
hearts the men and women of our country who in the day of
decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy. Grant
that we may not rest until all the people of this land share the
benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines. This
we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Do you know a recent high school or college graduate? Want to help them connect with a faith community wherever they are headed? Please fill out this form https://www.formstack.com/forms/?1718014-bOasBa1xv7 or contact diocesan staff member the Rev. Karen Schlabach [email protected]. She would he happy to share information about campus ministries, young adult ministries, and churches here in Kansas and around the country.
