Today, we give thanks for the faithful women who have nurtured us in love, prayer, and faith. Whether they are mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, mentors, or spiritual mothers, we celebrate the countless ways they reflect Christ’s love through quiet strength, servant hearts, and unwavering devotion.

To all mothers, you are a blessing. Thank you for the ways you guide your children through your everyday acts of grace.

Today, we stand in awe of the cross, where Christ bore our sins and demonstrated the ultimate act of love. On this Good Friday, we reflect on His sacrifice and its profound impact on our lives.

We had a lovely evening tonight, enjoying over 35 salads and learning about a wonderful non-profit organization in Topeka, Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Jim Peek presented about this local organization whose solitary mission it is that "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!" In less than two years in Topeka, this branch of a national organization, has made more than 400 beds for children in Topeka with a waiting list of another 100 kids. Lutheran Women in Mission from Fatih Lutheran donated 45 bedding items and monetary gifts for future bed builds!

Additionally, our four current executive board members have graciously re-upped their commitments to serve another year!!!
