First Christian Church Child Care Center First Christian Church Child Care Center was founded in 1973 as a community outreach ministry of First Christian Church. Our hours of operation are 7:15 a.m.

We are licensed through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to serve children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We have 7 early learning classrooms, 2 school age classrooms, and 4 seperate outside play areas. to 5:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, 12 months a year. We believe that early education should excite curiosity, stimulate creativity, expand intellectual and motor skills, create awarenes

s, and help each child better understand himself and the world around. This kind of education does not require sitting still with pencil and paper - it "happens" everywhere. Spontaneous learning takes place through free and guided play and interactions with others. Our program provides a secure yet flexible schedule of free play, both inside and out, planned group and individual activities, art, music, science, language development, number concepts, physical development, quiet periods, and meal times.

📅 Friday, May 22nd – Closed for our all‑staff meeting, facility cleaning, and summer prep.

📅 Monday, May 25th – Closed in observance of Memorial Day.

As we take time to prepare for summer and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country, we invite our families to pause and remember their sacrifice. ❤️💙

We had such a fun and egg-citing time celebrating Easter with our kiddos at the childcare center! From festive activities to lots of smiles and laughter, it was a day full of joy and excitement. 🐰🌷🥚

Spring Break just got a whole lot more exciting. Our School Age Program is hosting a Bike Raffle for a brand‑new 29” Hyper Jet Fuel BMX bike — and to kick things off, our very own DeeDee took it for a joyful test ride. Yes… we caught it on video, and yes… it’s as fun as it sounds.

If you need a smile today, you’ll want to watch it.

Your support will help us fund a trip to Legoland and the sunshine-filled fun we have planned for our kiddos this summer.

We’re celebrating Read Across America Week and the birthday of Dr. Seuss with a fun-filled Spirit Week! 🎉📚 Join us as we bring some of our favorite stories to life with themed dress-up days all week long:

❤️💙 Monday – Red Fish, Blue Fish: Wear red and blue.
🎩 Tuesday – The Cat in the Hat: Rock your favorite hat or hair accessory and add some stripes!
🤪 Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday: Clothes backwards, inside out, or totally mismatched — the wackier, the better!
🧦 Thursday – Fox in Socks: Show off your wackiest, funniest, most colorful socks.

With new floors being installed in our kitchen, our North Pod kiddos are dining next door to our make shift kitchen while the work is underway. This helps us keep things running smoothly (and saves on dishes, too 😉).
