We tabled at the City of Tigard Government's Pride event and asked people to respond to the question: “What does inclusivity look like” on a colorful sticky note and post it to our white board.

We had thoughtful and insightful responses, including what you see in the photos and these:
- Checking in on everyone
- Everyone being understood
- Diverse voices forward
- Making sure the unrepresented are represented
- Making sure people are not only seen but heard

Thank you, Tigard. 🌈

It’s Pride month! We hang this flag with pride all year long - it symbolizes our core values and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

We believe every member of our community deserves access to nutritious food. Everyone is welcome at Bethlehem House of Bread regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or immigration status. 🏳️‍🌈

For LGBTQ+ resources, we recommend visiting Basic Rights Oregon.

This month, we're collecting canned tuna and chicken—two pantry staples often in short supply and expensive for us to purchase. They provide a quick, convenient source of protein.

We're also gratefully accepting tofu to support our Food For All program, which helps ensure pantry guests have foods that meet their cultural, dietary, and lifestyle needs.

Pantry is open today (Sunday) from 1:00–3:00 pm (it's a yellow/ amarilla week).

Today is a bit bittersweet for us, as it marks the final day of service for our longtime Pastoral Director, Linda Dove. Since BHOB first opened its doors more than 10 years ago, Linda has been a guiding force behind our mission, helping the pantry grow, evolve, and serve thousands of neighbors in need.

While we'll miss her greatly, we're excited for all the adventures that retirement has in store for her. Please join us in wishing Linda all the best as she begins this new chapter.

And as always, we'll continue feeding everyone in our community who needs food.

Thank you to The Pongo Fund for their continued donations of dog and cat food. 🐾

Being able to provide pet food helps our pantry guests breathe a little easier knowing their furry family members will be cared for too — and that more of their budget can go toward essentials like rent, groceries, and utilities. The Pongo Fund helps make that possible, and we’re so grateful for their ongoing kindness and support (both two-legged and four-legged alike!). ❤️ 🐾

We’re getting down to the last few days with our beloved leader, Linda Dove, who is retiring at the end of the month. In her honor, we’ve launched a gratitude campaign to carry her work forward.

If you’d like to be part of Linda’s legacy, you can learn more and give here: https://bethlehemhouseofbread.org/linda-gratitude

Every dollar provides food for our neighbors and keeps her impact going through BHOB’s everyday operations.
