What is God's heart toward us?
God wants to show His kindness and mercy to us. In 2 Samuel 9, King David seeks to fulfill Jonathan's covenant. King David called Mephibosheth to his house; he is Saul's grandson and also lame on his feet. He has no conditions to enter King David's house and live; however, King David told Mephibosheth "Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually." (2 Samuel 9:7)
An enemy like Mephibosheth is asked to sit down and rest in King David's house only through the covenant that David made with Jonathan, his father. We were born as sinners, we became enemies of God, yet God tells us in Hebrews 8:6-7 that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant. This represents the “New covenant through Jesus”. We also had no conditions to be with God, but through Jesus our sins have been forgiven completely and are now eternally one with God.

¿Cuál es el corazón de Dios hacia nosotros?
Dios desea mostrarnos su bondad y misericordia. En 2 Samuel 9, el rey David busca cumplir el pacto con Jonatán. El rey David llamó a Mefiboset a su casa; era nieto de Saúl y también cojo. Mefiboset no tenía condiciones para entrar en la casa del rey David y vivir allí; sin embargo, el rey David le dijo: «No temas, porque ciertamente te mostraré bondad por amor a Jonatán, tu padre, y te devolveré toda la tierra de Saúl, tu padre; y comerás pan en mi mesa continuamente» (2 Samuel 9:7).
A un enemigo como Mefiboset se le pide que se siente y descanse en la casa del rey David solo gracias al pacto que David hizo con Jonatán, su padre. Nacimos pecadores, nos convertimos en enemigos de Dios, pero Dios nos dice en Hebreos 8:6-7 que Jesús es el mediador de un mejor pacto. Esto representa el «Nuevo Pacto por medio de Jesús». Nosotros tampoco teníamos las condiciones para estar con Dios, pero a través de Jesús nuestros pecados han sido perdonados por completo y ahora somos eternamente uno con Dios.

Un lugar donde Dios quiere habitar

Decimos que Dios está en todas partes, pero el pecado todavía nos separó de Él desde el nacimiento (Romanos 5:12). Este es el significado del Tabernáculo. En Éxodo 25:8-22, Dios demostró que la sangre de machos cabrios ni de becerros podía limpiar completamente el pecado en nuestros corazones; era solo una sombra de Jesucristo. A través de su propia sangre, Jesús pagó por nuestros pecados de una vez por todas, rasgó el velo y trajo a todos los creyentes de vuelta a Dios por fe, no por obras. Dios puso a Cristo adelante para que los pecadores pudieran ser justificados, no por su propia justicia, sino por la suya (Hebreos 9:12, Romanos 3:25, Efesios 1:7).

¡El domingo pasado estuvimos agradecidos de dar la bienvenida a las nuevas personas y a una nueva persona que se unirá a nosotros con Chistian Leadership Fellowship (CLF) 2026 en Corea!

A Place Where God Wants to Dwell

We say God is everywhere, but sin still separated us from Him from birth (Romans 5:12). This is the Tabernacle's significance. In Exodus 25:8-22, God showed that the blood of goats and calves could not fully clean the sin in our hearts; it was only a shadow of Jesus Christ. Through His own blood, Jesus paid for our sins once and for all, tore the veil, and brought every believer back to God by faith, not by works. God put Christ forward so sinners could be justified, not by their own righteousness, but by His (Hebrews 9:12, Romans 3:25, Ephesians 1:7).

This past Sunday we were grateful to welcome newcomers and a special guest who will join us for the 2026 Christian Leaders Fellowship in Korea!

Are your problems overwhelming you?
Jesus did not only suffer on the cross, He was tempted, tested, and rejected throughout His ministry. In Matthew 4:1-11, He answered satan only with the Word of God.
After receiving the forgiveness of sins, we are freed from sin and made servants of righteousness (Romans 6:17-18). This means our owner used to be satan, but Jesus bought us with his blood. In spiritual life without God leading us through the servants of God and His Word, we can only be deceived into serving our previous owner through our thoughts and feelings.
Because we now belong to Jesus, God wants to use the troubles in our lives to glorify Jesus (John 11:4).
We were happy to welcome newcomers to this Sunday service.

¿Te abruman tus problemas?
Jesús no solo sufrió en la cruz; fue tentado, probado y rechazado a lo largo de todo su ministerio. En Mateo 4:1-11, Él respondió a satanas únicamente con la Palabra de Dios.
Tras recibir el perdón de los pecados, somos liberados del pecado y hechos siervos de la justicia (Romanos 6:17-18).
Esto significa que nuestro dueño solía ser Satanás, pero Jesús nos compró con su sangre.
En la vida espiritual si no tenemos la guía de Dios a través de sus siervos y de su Palabra, seremos engañados y terminaremos sirviendo a nuestro antiguo dueño por medio de nuestros pensamientos y sentimientos.
Ahora que pertenecemos a Jesús, Dios desea utilizar las dificultades de nuestra vida para glorificar a Jesús (Juan 11:4).
Nos alegró dar la bienvenida a las nuevas personas que atendieron a este servicio dominical.

What is God’s greatest blessing?

In our spiritual life, we are not the main character, God is. We are witnesses to His work and His grace.

The moment we realize that we were already born into sin and could never meet God’s standard on our own, we can finally see His true blessing: salvation through Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and Romans 3:24 says that we are justified freely by His grace.

Just like the paralytic in John 5, the moment he realized he could not save himself through his own strength, was the moment Jesus stepped in and changed his life.

When we stop trusting in ourselves and accept that we cannot do it on our own, it becomes easy to receive the finished work of Jesus.

¿Cuál es la mayor bendición de Dios?

En nuestra vida espiritual, nosotros no somos los protagonistas; Dios lo es. Somos testigos de Su obra y de Su gracia.

En el momento en que nos damos cuenta de que ya nacimos en el pecado y de que, por nosotros mismos, jamás podríamos cumplir con el estándar de Dios, podemos finalmente ver Su verdadera bendición: la salvación a través de Jesucristo.

Romanos 3:23 dice que todos han pecado y están destituidos de la gloria de Dios, y Romanos 3:24 dice que somos justificados gratuitamente por Su gracia.

Tal como le sucedió al paralítico en Juan 5: el momento en que se dio cuenta de que no podía salvarse a sí mismo por sus propias fuerzas fue el momento en que Jesús intervino y transformó su vida.

Cuando dejamos de confiar en nosotros mismos y aceptamos que no podemos lograrlo por nuestra cuenta, resulta fácil recibir la obra consumada de Jesús.

On May 16th, Kingdom Vibes in collaboration with Christian Youth Association (CYA) hosted a Worship Night where young adults from across the Portland metropolitan area gathered to worship God and build connections through fellowship and the Word.

Pastor Ricardo Godinez from Good News Portland Church shared about the New Covenant God has given us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, we have been cleansed, justified, sanctified, and made new.

“He will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.”— Jeremiah 31:34

Just as butterflies begin as caterpillars, we too were once lost in sin, but through Jesus Christ we have been transformed into new creations.

We were also reminded of Jesus’ words to the woman caught in adultery: “Neither do I condemn thee.”— John 8:11

We sincerely thank everyone who attended and all the volunteers who served to make this night possible.

We are excited for what God has prepared ahead and are planning another Worship Night in June. Stay connected — we hope to see you there and maybe even serving alongside us!

The bible calls our hearts 100% evil.
This Sunday took an inward look at ourselves through the Word of God. Genesis 6:5, Jeremiah 17:9, and Ecclesiastes 3:9 make it clear that our hearts are a disease. Only evil, deception, and madness comes out of our hearts. Interestingly, humans do not believe this. That is why when we follow our hearts, we lead ourselves to destruction.
How can we be free from this evil heart?
Because we do not know our hearts are evil, God allows us to see our image through the law. James 2:10 says “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” Under the old covenant, no matter how hard people try to keep the commandments religiously, they fail and the heart remains sinful. In Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrews 10:15-18, God gave us the new covenant. Hebrews 10:17 says “And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”
It is no longer “try harder”, but it is a promise from God saying “your sins are forgiven”.

La Biblia llama a nuestros corazones 100% malvados.
Este domingo nos miramos a nosotros mismos a través de la Palabra de Dios. Génesis 6:5, Jeremías 17:9, y Eclesiastés 3:9 dejan claro que nuestros corazones son una enfermedad. Solo el mal, el engaño y la locura salen de nuestros corazones. Curiosamente, los humanos no creen esto. Es por eso que cuando seguimos nuestros corazones, nos dirigimos a la destrucción.
¿Cómo podemos liberarnos de este malvado corazón?
Debido a que no sabemos que nuestros corazones son malos, Dios nos permite ver nuestra imagen a través de la ley. Santiago 2:10 dice: “Porque cualquiera que guardare toda la ley, pero ofendiere en un punto, será culpable de todos”. Bajo el antiguo pacto, no importa cuán difícilmente las personas traten de guardar los mandamientos religiosamente, fallan y el corazón permanece pecaminoso. En Jeremías 31:31-34 y Hebreos 10:15-18, Dios nos dio el nuevo pacto. Hebreos 10:17 dice: “Y nunca más me acordaré de sus pecados e iniquidades”.
Ya no es “tratar más duro”, pero es una promesa de Dios diciendo “tus pecados son perdonados”.
