Yesterday was Woods 67th Church Anniversary.
Our morning service guest preacher was none other than New York City districts, Presiding Elder, Rev., Dr A. Alfred Carson.
Elder Carson preached a dynamic Word out of the gospel of John, 20th chapter verses 27 and 28.
“Dare to Believe “
1. Dared to believe God’s plan.
2. Death to believe God’s power.
3. Dare to believe God’s promises.
After having a hefty meal for our souls, we made our way down to the fellowship hall where there was plenty of food and fellowship.
We nourished our bodies on macaroni and cheese, string beans, turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, fried chicken wings, ham and toss salad. For dessert we had cake, cookies, and fresh fruit and of course Sis. Barbara Harmitt’s famous ice tea.
But wait! The day was not over. At 3:30 PM we went back to the Sanctuary for another helping of spiritual food for our soul.
Superintendent Elder, Bryan Harris pastor of Unity Temple COGIC came and preach a powerful Word that bless the house.
“Strength For The Journey”
Isaiah 40:29-31.
He encouraged Woods to keep on going and although we may get weary if we wait upon the Lord He will renew our strength🙌🏾

We were also honored to have the Bronx Borough president, the Honorable Vanessa Gibson, join us in fellowship.
It was a pleasant and welcoming surprise to have her in the house. She is a woman of faith called to do God’s work for the people in the Bronx and beyond.
Our pray is that God will continue to bless and keep her on the path He has set before her. When she gets weary may she remember that there is “Strength For The Journey ” and His name is Jesus! 🙌🏾
What a time in the Lord we had celebrating God and what He is doing in the life of His Church at Woods.
The Best is Yet to Come‼️
But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
(1 Corinthians 2:9 ) KJV
It was so nice to see our sisters and brothers in Christ from near and far… may God Bless and keep you until we meet again❤️
