Gentleness is not weakness. It is strength under control. It takes strength to remain calm when someone is unkind, to answer softly when you could respond harshly, and to choose patience when you feel frustrated. The Bible reminds us: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” Proverbs 15:1
And Philippians 4:5 tells us, “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” Sometimes the greatest testimony is not in what we say, but in how we respond. Today, let’s ask God to help us be humble and gentle, patient with others, and willing to bear with one another in love. We may not be able to control how others treat us, but we can choose how we respond.
