Today’s lesson was about the significance of praying. The power of prayer. Why we pray?

Here are some points that I picked up and want to share..

God is our refuge & strength.
We seek his comfort in hard times.

Do we only pray during the hard times?
God wants to hear from us all the time.
He wants us to share good times, bad times and even the mundane times.

When we pray, we are connecting to God. We are building our relationship with him. He already knows us. He wants us to know him. To trust him, truly believe he knows what is best. Know he will provide, and we will prevail. All because he loves us and he knows what we need. Need….not what we want. There’s a difference.

This week when you pray, remember God listens, he will answer, gives us what we need, and he is always in control.

I realized when I added the “Not Forgotten”
Profile picture it also matched the sentiment of Memorial Day. While God never forgets us,those that have lost loved ones fighting/defending our Country & other countries, they, too, are never forgotten. God Bless..May their souls be at peace.

Has God forgotten me?

No doubt at some point in your life you questioned if God forgot about you. Left you alone to deal with your worries.
He has NOT!!
Our exercise in class today was to think about our journey..would we be where we are, who we are, without God’s divine intervention.
When someone asks the question, “why is this happening to me”..don’t give up..don’t feel defeated, don’t lose hope. We must pray on it and as they say, “Give it to God.” We may not get the answer today, tomorrow or the next day. But God always has a plan and he gives us what we need (not always what we want), when we need it.
