What if God isn't looking at the amount?
This Sunday, Pastor Frank took us to Mark 12 and the story of the widow who dropped two tiny mites into the offering. It was almost nothing by the world's standards. Yet Jesus said she had given more than everyone else.
Why?
Because the others gave out of their surplus. She gave out of faith.
Her gift wasn't about being noticed. It wasn't about recognition, status, or applause. It was a simple act of trust. She believed God would be faithful, even when she had very little left to hold onto.
We were reminded that God sees beyond the numbers. He sees the heart. He sees our motives. He sees whether we're trusting Him or simply relying on ourselves.
The message also pointed us to the greatest gift ever given. Jesus left heaven, took our place on the cross, and gave everything so we could have forgiveness, hope, and eternal life.
A powerful morning of worship, truth, and celebration as we also rejoiced with Destiny in her decision to follow Christ.
May we leave this week trusting God's promises, living with open hands, and remembering that faith is not measured by what we keep, but often by what we're willing to place in His hands.
