The Struggle Is Real
Bobby Gums 05.01.2026

Ever wonder why you struggle with the same old ‘fleshly attitude(s)’? Talking about behaviors or mindsets that are characterized by sin and opposition to God's will (Bible Hub). Things that are not synonymous with that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Rom 12:2). Or are you no longer plagued by such torments of the flesh? If not, praise God! However, for some of us the struggle is real as we have not yet completely overcome some of these things. We are not inferring that an individual that still suffers from some form of anger, selfishness, jealousy, (whatever it may be), that they are not walking by the Spirit of God day by day, but for some reason still have difficulty overcoming a thing that is in opposition to God’s will for the believer.

For those who desire to overcome all such things, I believe the Lord has given me ‘light’ where there had previously been a ‘veil’ over my understanding that I would like to share. The other day I had such an ‘event’ to occur. Afterwards, what did I do? I did what I usually do, I beat myself up for the rest of the day. Three days later, the Holy Spirit has revealed to me that my typical ritual of self-flagellation is not only ‘not productive’, but that it is actually getting in the way of our Heavenly Father’s disciplining correction that would prove to be productive for me. Beating myself up until I was fully exhausted was effectively hindering me from getting to the point of the true repentance that I needed to experience in order to get to the place of power in Christ to put this thing down, prayerfully, for good. This was an eye-opening revelation that is already giving me a sense of liberty within my spirit and that I pray will be a help to others within the body of Christ.

As a brother recently reminded us, we do not owe this flesh anything! Romans 8:12, Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. Remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Jesus has ‘overcome the world’, therefore, we too can overcome the world because we are in Christ where all things are possible to us (Php 4:13). The fact that He has already done everything, He has already lived this life, and listen, he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love (Eph 1:4), should give us encouragement that our God has got us and will keep us and will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Php 1:6).

Any form of self-imposed punishment will not get us any closer to living a holy life that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father. Like my same brother also said, it’s like hanging an ‘out of order sign around our neck’. Let us recognize that fact and do not let anything come between us and our relationship with God by gratefully receiving His corrective measures for our lives.
Remember brethren, We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Rom 8:28). Now brethren, This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Gal 5:6). Therefore brethren, Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God (1 Cor 10:31).

04/05/2026

This day has nothing to do with bunnies or with eggs.

Today is a day to reflect on the greatest love story of all time.

A love story that involves each and every one of us, whether we realize it or not.

Today is the day that we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We may think we “know”, but do we really?

This day has never meant more to me than it does right now.
I thought I knew, but I never really understood the “why”.

It all began in Genesis when Eve was beguiled by the serpent.

It's said that she gave some of the fruit to Adam and he, too, ate.

This can be seen in a way that makes us think Adam ate unknowingly.

Or we can see it in a way that Adam ate knowing that Eve would die and that he would rather follow her into death than to live without her.

If that’s the case, the first Adam can be seen as a foreshadowing of the last Adam: Jesus Christ Himself.

The significance of Jesus dying on the cross is that He knew what was to happen.

He knew God’s will and He willingly chose to die for us.

To be the ultimate sacrifice for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Jesus willingly chose death so that we may live.
So that we may have everlasting life with the Father.

Something we could never do on our own.

Romans 3:23–24 23 “...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…”

With Jesus’ last breath, the curtain in the temple was torn.

The curtain that once kept us separated from God’s presence was torn so that we may have direct access to the Father through Jesus Christ Himself.

Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for his bride.

Ephesians 5:25 “...just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.”
Jesus loved us so much that He gave Himself up for us, choosing to take our place so we may be unified with Him forever.

Today we celebrate the remembrance of our greatest love story of all time.

Not a bunny or an egg in sight; only the Lamb of God laying down His life for us all.

To my friends, customers, and fellow travelers:

For over a decade, many of you have followed my journey outta the back of my vehicle—from the early days of GypSea JunkShop in 2012 to the transition into Ecliptic Rambler years later. We’ve crossed roughly 30 states together, and I'm so very grateful for all of the support you’ve shown my art.

As many of you know, I’ve always been a truth seeker, but as I’ve grown, my understanding of that truth has changed profoundly. For quite some time, I looked to crystals, astrology, and divination for answers and healing. While I believed at the time that these were ways to connect with God, I’ve come to realize [with His Grace and Mercy] that I was focusing on the creation rather than the Creator Himself.
With that said, I want to sincerely apologize for leading you astray from The Real Truth. My intentions were always to help, but I now recognize that true peace and guidance doesn't come from the stars or stones, but through a relationship with our Heavenly Father.

In 2023, the Lord began quietly calling me back to Him. In April of 2024, I came back home to my church family. I prayed for Him to intervene in my life, and on September 1st, 2024, I chose a life of sobriety.

“But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthians 3:16-17).

Seventeen days later, I discovered I was pregnant. At the time, I didn’t realize that He had answered my prayers in the most profound way imaginable. On November 10, 2024, I was baptized as a new creation in Christ.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

In a way, I’d like to say the “Rambler” is still here, but that part of my story was only a stepping stone to my true identity. I’m no longer “living on the edge of a dollar” or working to wander to the next place; He's given me a new purpose and a deep desire to build my life on His foundation.

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock” (Matthew 7:24–25).

I’ll still be twistin’ dyes and weavin’ h**p, but they’ll now be crafted with a heart of worship and excellence.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24)

As for now, my main focus is a project The Lord has put upon my heart — a planner/journal hybrid. I like to call it a “journey journal”. Think of it as not so much a ‘to-do’ list, but a ‘to-be’ journey. I'm designing it for those who want to move away from worldly distractions and to intentionally grow closer to God every single day of the year. I pray it’ll touch your life as deeply as it has mine.

This project wasn't my idea; it was another answered prayer. Around January 6th, 2025, I asked the Lord to place in my mind what to focus on in order to provide for my daughter from home. Two days later, on January 8th, I wrote in my journal how inspired I had become overnight. My passion for art came flooding back! Then that Sunday at church, January 11th, I was called to the front and handed a notepad and a pen. I was told that God was speaking to me and to write down what He said. I haven’t put the pen down since.

I’ve realized that my life isn’t about the miles I cover anymore, but about the legacy I’m leaving for my daughter, Honey Lee.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward” (Psalm 127:3).

I want my work to be a "ripple" — starting with the grace God has shown me, reaching Honey Lee as she grows, and eventually touching you. Because of this, I’m changing my shop from the inside, out — starting with the name: “Ripples of His Honey.”

"But he would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you" (Psalm 81:16).
God is fulfilling His promise of 'honey from the rock' now that I've turned back to Him. It's a reminder that God can bring sweetness out of any “rocky” place. This is also a tribute to my daughter, the little girl He's blessed me with and has used to guide me back to Him.
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Thank you for being part of my story through all its twists and turns. I'm excited to share this new chapter with you and to walk this path toward the Truth together.
With love and grace,
Cait & Honey Lee

As I finished this letter, I counted the number of Scriptures I used: Seven. The number of perfection.

Then as I reread it again, I remembered our last Bible study of 2025. Brother Greg had asked we bring a scripture with us that resonated with either that year or the year to come, and I chose Joel 2:25. Now I add verse 26.

“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of The Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame” (Joel 2:25-26).

I count again and that’s number eight: New Beginnings.
I also counted the number of times I referred to God. 45: Preservation.

The exit from the Holiest / The trip in, the journey out/ A Christians perspective.

After an in depth study of the tabernacle of Moses and the submission of our three dimensional composition, (spirit, soul and body) to the three dimensional tabernacle, [Outer Court, Holy Place and Holiest of all] , we understand each article, each piece of furniture represents an aspect of salvation that takes us from a Christian babe to a mature son and equips us for our spiritual and natural purpose in life and defines our very existence.
A brief explanation of this purpose is as follows: In leaving the holiest of all and beginning our journey out , we understand that the difference is that Jesus took us through all three dimensions because as babes, (new born in Christ) we needed divine change and reformation to mature and prepare for our mission and to receive the full gift of salvation that God the Father offered through Jesus Christ, the son. Jesus took us in as we weren't able to take ourselves. Now in leaving the Holiest of all as a mature son, our attitude toward the hardship and the difficulty of the trip in has been superseded by our joy to honor our heavenly father with our lives and enter the mission field, (the world) to offer them the gift that was offered to us. A brief summary of this would be that in exiting the Holiest of all: In the entrance, Jesus carried us. In the exit, we are carrying him. He brought us in; we're taking him out. The steps (provisions) the Father used to get us there have become the tools we will use to fulfil our destiny in Christ and to forward, seal and manifest the glorious one, the mighty one of Israel, the son of the living God in the earth and will be the preservation of his legacy in our generation to either complete his work in our generation or to pass the passion and the purity of it to the next generation. It is our time to fulfill the great commission!

SAVE YOURSELVES
OCTOBER 16, 2025

Act 2:37-41 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

1Co 3:9-15 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Every man “judged according to his works” as it appears in other scriptures:

Psa 62:12; Isa 3:10-11; Mat 16:27; Rom 2:5-10; 1Co 4:5; Gal 6:7-8; Eph 6:8; Col 3:24-25; Rev 2:23, Rev 20:12; Rev 20:13, Rev 22:12

Php 2:12 So then, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

SET YOUR AFFECTION ON THINGS ABOVE

Colossians 3:1-2 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

(First of all, if you have not yet been “risen with Christ”, if God’s Holy Spirit does not bear His unmistakable witness with your spirit that you are a child of The Living God, stop reading, humble yourself before The Almighty, and receive the forgiveness of sins that is offered through the shed blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus. Pray until you receive this Blessed Assurance from the Spirit of God. If you have just done this, please let me know, we rejoice with you!)

We are instructed to seek (to desire, strive, search until you find) those things which are above.
Then we are instructed to set your affection (to think, to be mentally disposed earnestly in a certain direction-God’s purposes, the settled disposition of your will; an affection which is inseparable from its object-Christ Jesus) on things above. Notice the shared attribute of those “things above” is where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

In seeking to set our “affection” on the things above, let us start right there with Christ sitting on the right hand of God. As my wife Sherry wrote back in August, “a seat is a place of rest”. When we learn of Christ, place our trust in Him for everything in life that concerns us and our loved ones (that means doing life His way, not ours), then we can truly find rest for our souls.

Eph 1:3 assures us, all of those that truly be risen with Christ are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Just what is the primary purpose in all these spiritual blessings? Surely it is my personal happiness and at least a cushy middle class life-style. Where did that come from? I do not know, but it seems to be the prevailing western understanding. Continuing to read the following verses gives us the plain understanding, these spiritual blessings are that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love… according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace.

Php 2:5 says, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (let this anchor every discussion we have). Verses 1-7 describes “this mind” (which is in Christ Jesus), as one that is encouraged in Christ, that is comforted in His love, of having fellowship in His Spirit, that has deep inward affection and compassionate mercy, that is humble, and one that is concerned not only with ourselves, but also with the well-being of others, taking on the form of a servant. Maybe that this is nowhere more worked out in and through our lives than when we allow the Lord to use us, as He will, in getting others to this place of “rest” in Christ Jesus (Mt 11:28-30).

Finally, brethren, (Think on These Things) whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things…and do: and the God of peace shall be with you! ~ Php 4:8,9

Be Seated
Sherry Gums 08.05.2025

And [God] hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus
~ Ephesians 2:6 ~

A seat is a place of rest. When we sit in a chair, we put trust in that chair that it can
support all of our weight for as long as we sit in it. We do not expect that the chair
will only hold up part of our weight and that we somehow will have to bear the rest
of the load ourselves. No, we trust the chair can bear the entire amount by itself.
Likewise, when we are seated in Christ Jesus, we place all of our trust in Him, that
no matter what is going on within us, no matter how heavy the load on our minds
and hearts, no matter the difficulties we seem to have, Jesus is more than capable
of upholding us and causing us to more clearly understand our real need in life.
This is the place of rest that our souls hunger for and greatly need.
Jesus says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in
heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is
light (Matt 11:28-30).
And being fully persuaded that, what he [The Lord our God] had promised, he was
able also to perform (Romans 4:21).
Come to Christ, learn of Him, and when we are fully persuaded that all God
promised in Christ Jesus is ours by grace through faith and are truly seated in Him,
we will have rest for our souls.

What is truth? – Pontius Pilate (John 18:38)

Bobby Gums 07.31.2025

Pilate asked Jesus, (37) Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. To that statement Pontius Pilate replied, What is truth?

Webster defines truth: conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. Strong’s simply defines truth as verity and verity is a word that brings morality into the conversation as Webster calls it moral truth; agreement of the words with the thoughts.

That is the reason that “the truth” is a moral obligation and responsibility for everyone, because in the reality of truth our words cannot be separated from our hearts intentions, or it is not truth.

Jesus reveals to Pilate His very purpose for coming into the world, that He should “bear witness unto the truth”. Jesus fulfills as truth a 700 year old prophecy of Isaiah 61 concerning Himself when He walks into a Nazareth synagogue and reads the account from the book. Luke 4:18,19 reports, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Jesus then sat down and said, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. Matthew 4:23 says that Jesus went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. In John 14:6, Jesus reveals Himself something of His glory to us, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Jesus overwhelmingly bear[s] witness unto the truth and proves that He is the Messiah.

Then Jesus says, “Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice”. The absolute crucial thing for all people is to be certain that we are included in that group of people that Jesus identifies as being “of the truth”. To be “of something” Strong’s helps us to see that this means to be ‘out of’, ‘out from’, or ‘by the means of’, the point where action or motion proceeds. Therefore, those that are “of the truth” are the ones that we could say have come forth out of or from Jesus. To say it another way, they have been ‘born again and made alive in Christ’ and now their life proceeds forth out from Christ Jesus Himself (see 1 Cor 6:19). We (all people) come into this world shapen (born) in iniquity (Ps 51:5) because we came forth from Adam, who sinned and through whom death entered the world. Jesus, The Truth, says we must be born again. He says more directly, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (John 3:5). The apostle Paul says of this group of people, And you hath he [Jesus] quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins (Eph 2:1).

And Jesus says everyone that is of the truth heareth my [His] voice and that My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life (John 10:27,28).

THE POLLINATORS

The pollination of crops is critical to our food supply, and, therefore, our survival. Among the most essential pollinators are the honeybees, which have undeniably decreased in numbers. One estimate is that we have dropped from 6 million managed hives at the close of WWII to less than 2.5 million today while our area of crops needing bee pollination has increased over 300% in that same period.

Many feel there is a present decline of authentic biblical Christianity in America. If this is true, it may be that Christ’s own pollinators are in decline and we are malnourished as a result.

Apostles and Prophets, as well as being the foundation ministries upon which the House of God is built (Eph 2:19-22; 1Cor 3:9-11), are also the most essential cross-pollinators of the Church (Acts 14:19-23; Acts 15:40-41; Rom 1:9-13; Rom 15:24-25; 1 Cor 4:17-20). Now, while many believe that Apostolic and Prophetic ministries no longer exist nor are they any longer needed, some of us contend that just the opposite is true. But what does the Bible say???

Eph 4:11-16
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

These five distinct divisions of the person and ministry of Jesus Christ, these five gifts of Christ Himself to the Church, are, according to Scripture, to remain active and effectual “till we all” bear the fruit of Christian maturity as clearly defined in the above passage. While some may assume that this maturity will “just happen” to us at the end, I strongly suggest that aside from the pollinating ministry of the five ascension gifts, especially that of the Apostle and Prophet, none of us will taste any fruit of it. Without their cross-pollinating work of “speaking the truth in love” we will at best be dwarf fruit on a withering vine with no hope of adequate harvest or of any healthy seed to plant in a following season.

Thank you, Father, for giving us Pastors that feed us with knowledge and understanding. Thank you for giving us Teachers and Evangelists that make your Word relevant to our lives and inspire us follow our Lord. And Father, we pray You send us Apostles and Prophets who come with the heart of your servant Paul as revealed in Rom 1:9-13:
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. Amen.

PASSION WEEK: RENDING THE VEIL
WHO IS THIS JESUS?

From the moment John baptized Him, there were innumerable questions and numerous guesses about Jesus’ identity. All knew that He was Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph. But who is He, really? Who is this that does all these miraculous things we hear about? Who is this man veiled in that body? While a few believed He may be the Christ, the guesses continued among the greater majority.

John 1:45-46
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

John 7:12-15
12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.
13 Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.
14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?

Matt 16:13-17
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood [This body that I am in] hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Matt 13:54-58
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

John 7:5
5 For neither did his brethren believe in him.

Isn’t it amazing that His own people didn’t know Him but the devils did:

Luke 4:40-41
40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

In time came the Sunday of the Palm branches and Passover week began. Little by little, day by day, each day of that week, Jesus removed a little more of His Vail until on the sixth day it was torn and on the eighth/first day it was removed.
