Trail Life USA is a Christian outdoor adventure, character, and leadership program for boys.

Troop NC 0117 meets every Thursday from 6:30-8:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Shallotte.

This is what Trail Life is all about-getting into God’s creation and going on an adventure!
Witnessing moments like this never gets old; seeing boys out on the water, learning, laughing, and growing in strength and confidence. It’s in these simple moments that lasting memories are made and character is built.
From devotionals to campfires to kayaking, this troop campout was full of moments that matter.

We had to change due to weather and a packed schedule. Race is going to be Friday evening, pizza is included. Important notes:

Cars need to be turned in by Thursday.
Drop off starting tonight until Thursday, just bring it to Pastor Kevin

Racer's do not need to be present to win awards.

Any snacks that families can bring are appreciated.

Nursery is available for little ones to burn energy.

Pinewood Derby will be on 01/30/2026 at 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM (EST). You can RSVP for this event on TLC

Dinner at 5:30 pm

First rounds of Tournament: 5:30 pm

Sister's Race (Full start to finish) 6 pm

Consolidation rounds 1 and 2: 6:30 pm

Quarter and Semi-Finals 7:30 pm

Finals 8:00 pm

Awards 8:30 pm

Nothing builds confidence and character like teamwork in the great outdoors! These Trailmen are learning leadership, problem-solving, and resilience as they take on challenges together — from setting up camp to conquering trails. On to the next adventure🏕️🌅

NC 0117 is full of Godly Men who step up weekly to mold and train up the next generation of young men. They sacrifice weekends to campouts where adventure is everywhere and grit is required.

The Officer Games were great! The boys competed to see who could earn all the passes for each of 6 skills: Bible trivia, navigation, first aid, wet fire, wood tools, and rope work. Congratulations to the winners and all the boys for their hard work!
