Next week is our last week with our sweet chickadee kids that will move on to kindergarten…my heart is so sad for our loss but so proud and so excited for them. They have honestly been such a blessing…I asked them what they would like to do for their last days at daycare and one of the things was make milkshakes! So this morning we made chocolate milkshakes! 🥰 we will see what next week brings! LOL

April showers bring May FLOWERS!! Learning about flowers this week. The kids worked on their scissor skills today…the older kids can cut and glue independently!! Our younger preschoolers just need a little assistance with scissors. They all made a beautiful potted flower!! 🌼 🌺 we also talked about flower facts which we will go over more this week.

Busy busy morning. We welcomed miss Maddie back for the summer, the kids wanted to do a confetti cannon for her arrival 🤣🎉 we also made muffins for our teachers, surprised them with the gifts we’ve been making all week!! And to top things off we got our potted wildflowers ready for Mothers Day! 😅 love these little ones and their heart for showing love to others. ❤️

Reminder: Kindergarten Roundup is right around the corner for EES! The first WCSD Kindergarten Roundup session will be this coming Tuesday, May 12th, at Eisenhower Elementary School from 2:00-6:00 PM. Each elementary school will host a Kindergarten Roundup session so interested parents can meet with various people to learn more about kindergarten and complete helpful screenings. Please see the flyer below or visit the Registration tab on the district webpage (https://www.wcsdpa.org/o/wcsd/page/registration) for more information and the schedule of sessions at SAEMS, WAEC and YEMS. If you know someone else with a child ready for kindergarten, please share the information with them.

Late registrations can lead to last-minute classroom or teacher changes, which can be frustrating for families. I was told this too by our kindergarten teachers. We do our best here to encourage independence and the kids are so proud of themselves when they learn how to do things themselves. ❤️
