“For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…” — Mark 10:45

This week our LifeTeen teens lived out the Gospel by serving Duke a local gentleman in our community who needed a helping hand.

They spent the morning mulching weeding and working on his yard bringing not only a refreshed property but also smiles encouragement and companionship. The day ended with prayer fellowship and a well earned Chick fil A stop

We are grateful for our teens who continue to show up with generous hearts and willing hands 💙

Summer isn’t over yet LifeTeen continues with faith friendship service and fun and there is a place for everyone

Happy Father’s Day!

A child’s prayer for their father:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of my dad and all father figures who love, guide, and protect us. Please bless him with wisdom, patience, strength, and peace each day. Help him to feel appreciated for all he does, especially the quiet sacrifices no one else sees.

When he is tired, give him rest. When he is worried, give him peace. When he is weak, give him strength. And when he is joyful, help us to share in that joy together as a family.

Bless all fathers today—those who are with us, those we miss, and those carrying heavy burdens in their hearts. Surround them with Your love and the loving intercession of St. Joseph.

Amen.

If this prayer resonates with you, feel free to share it with someone who might need it today—whether it’s your dad, a father figure, or someone who could use a little encouragement this Father’s Day 💙

Meet Our Summer Intern: Jake Cermak

We’re excited to welcome Jake Cermak to the Holy Family parish family this summer!

Jake will be serving alongside us in ministries including LifeTeen, ACTS 29 Young Adult Ministry, Altar Server Training, Vacation Bible School, and various evangelization efforts across the parish.

Born and raised in Parma and a lifelong parishioner of St. Charles, Jake’s journey has taken him from Cedar Point to ESPN, through business ownership and ultimately into a deep encounter with Christ that led him into seminary for the Diocese of Cleveland. After four years of formation, Jake is now continuing to discern his vocation, with a heart drawn toward a life of prayer, simplicity, service, and evangelization.

He brings a deep love for the Lord, a passion for sharing the Gospel, and a joy for life that includes everything from adoration and praise and worship to great coffee, basketball, and even a few roller coasters along the way.

Jake’s heart for ministry is simple: to help others keep their eyes fixed on Christ.

We are grateful to have him with us this summer. Please join us in welcoming him and keep him in your prayers as he continues to discern the Lord’s call in his life.

If you see him at Mass this weekend, be sure to say hello!

Marriage Blessing | June 13–14, 2026

This weekend we joyfully celebrate the gift of marriage in our parish!

At all Masses on June 13–14, couples married 10 years or less are invited to receive a special blessing in thanksgiving for the love, commitment, and grace they share in their vocation.

We are grateful for these couples and the witness of their love in our community, and we look forward to celebrating you!

“Love that leads to marriage is a gift from God and a great act of faith toward other human beings.”
— Pope Saint John Paul I
