So let’s get back to worship!!
Sunday at 10:30 outside rain or shine. The guidelines for the service have been sent out by email and reg mail.
So please be considerate of each other and follow the guidelines set forth by our leadership.
Here is the announcement:
Back to Church Announcement Dear SAF Family,
The purpose of this communication is to share some great news! We first want to thank you all for your patience during these trying times. This has not been an easy period of time, but we have seen God move even in the situation that we are in. Our Reopening Committee has taken seriously the recent recommendations put forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the current situation within the state of Ohio and local areas, and experiences from other churches around the country.
Here’s the news – we are going to begin holding services again! Our first service will be held outside rain or shine at a single 10:30 am service on Sunday, June 7th with a designated area for seating. We plan to continue with one outdoor service each Sunday until we can safely begin to move back inside to the sanctuary. We realize there are individuals who are unable to or are uncomfortable with returning to church including an outdoor service. Therefore, Pastor John Kitchen will continue recording his message so that you may view the message wherever you are comfortable.
To ensure the safety of all of those who are attending the service, the following guidelines must be followed:
* Refrain from attending if you have an elevated temperature, any symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or other similar illness.
* Anyone who has come in contact with an individual with COVID-19 or COVID-19 like symptoms within the prior 14 days of meeting, must not attend.
* Upon arrival and after exiting your vehicle, ensure that you have your facemask on. Keep your facemask on until you are seated, you may then remove your mask.
* Social distancing must be observed (maintaining 6 feet between individuals) at all times. Family units may sit together.
* No physical greetings/contact among participants.
* Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of elbow. Used tissues should be
thrown into trash and hands washed or hand sanitizer used.
* Only the Pastor and worship team may be under the pavilion.
* You will need to bring the following: (none will be provided by the church)
o Umbrella
o Lawn chair or blanket o Hand sanitizer
o Water
* We plan to offer transmission of the service via FM transmitter for those who would be better served by remaining in their automobile in the parking lot.
* Downstairs restrooms will be available for use with access through the gymnasium. No more than 2 individuals may be in the restroom at a time. We ask that, if possible, please use the restroom before or after the service.
* A number of volunteers will be available to answer questions and provide direction. Please respect their guidance.
Note: With this announcement, please understand that the guidelines that we are setting forth are for your safety. We want you to be with us for worship if you can agree to follow these guidelines. Let’s all show love to one another by considering the needs of others who may feel endangered by someone near them who is not following the guidelines. If you can agree to these things, we would love to have you join us. If not, we would ask that you wait for a later date when we are able to have more freedom in how we interact with one another. In all of this, we advise in the strongest terms that those of advanced age, with compromised immune systems, or other factors that place them at higher risk should consider remote participation or staying in vehicle. If you unfortunately develop symptoms of COVID-19 after attending service, please notify our office as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to anyone on the Reopening Committee.
It also appears that we may begin to regather in homes or outdoor venues (which are preferred) with some of our smaller groups like LIFE Groups, Bible studies, small groups, etc. But we can only do this under the following guidelines.
* The number attending does not exceed the venue’s ability for social distancing.
* Facemasks must be worn by all participants, unless outside and social distancing is observed.
* In all cases social distancing must be observed (maintaining 6 feet between individuals). If
indoors, the size of the room must be appropriate for the number of individuals attending.
* No physical greetings/contact among participants.
* Individuals may bring their own beverages/snacks, but no sharing among participants unless of
the same household (e.g., married couple).
* Hand sanitizer and tissues need to be made conveniently and strategically available.
* If held indoors, proper ventilation needs to be observed (a fan running, a window open, etc.).
* For LIFE Groups, no children can be a part of the gathering.
* Refrain from attending if you have an elevated temperature, any symptoms consistent with
COVID-19, or other similar illness.
* Anyone who has come in contact with an individual with COVID-19 or COVID-19 like symptoms
within the prior 14 days of meeting, must not attend
* No meetings will take place within the SAF building.
* The SAF pavilion may be available for such small group meetings. The leader should contact the
church to reserve the pavilion.
