There is an incredible opportunity right now to welcome and care for international students at Kent State University. The International Friendship Connection (IFC) has seen the highest number ever of KSU international students sign up to have someone come alongside them and build a friendship. You don’t need to have special experience or be part of a family to participate. Singles, couples, and families are all encouraged to get involved! Sharing a meal, grabbing coffee, showing someone around town, or simply being a friend can make a lasting impact on a student who is far from home. This is a practical way for us to love our neighbors, welcome people into our community, and show the love of Christ to students from around the world.

Brick of Shine

This brick gets passed around our staff team as a way to recognize and affirm staff members who are doing a great job. Granted, we could give it to all of them because they’re an incredibly hardworking staff team.

Today, the brick was passed from Sean to Erin. Erin is our Missions Coordinator. She does a ton of behind the scenes work with local missions partners, planning and executing short-term mission trips, and local outreach events. She did a wonderful job with the Scotland trip, and is doing a ton of planning for our booth at Stow's Summer Sunset Blast. She is newer to the team, but has leaned into her position and her relationships with the staff team, we love having her!
