Prairie Walk

Welcome to the prairie walk.

This path connects several unique habitats on our church grounds. As you walk, notice how changes in soil, water, sunlight, and history create different communities of plants, insects, and birds.

Along the way you will pass:

• A rain garden influenced by parking lot runoff and plants favoring a wetter setting

• A dry sandy remnant of an old volleyball court hosting different plants favoring very dry soil

• The Keifer Native Garden with a special mix of native plants.

• Restored prairie habitat for open sandy soil

• End and rest at a quiet grove of trees with benches placed for reflection

Take your time. Listen. Observe. Enjoy.
