Loving the Spring weather and also hoping that THIS circle can actually be our first gathering outside at Manito Park! Next week join us for Women’s+ Circle, graciously held by Danielle, a member of our community to share her unique passion and wisdom! Also, great news - free childcare will be available at this event, with two women assisting kiddos nearby and in view of the circle. All event details can be found on our website!

Hello friends and extended community!
A request for our support has been received for the community of Paoyhan, where children are attending school despite intense flooding in the region. It is the beginning of the school year and there are about 60 children and youth in need of notebooks, pens, pencils and pencil sharpeners. The school is also hoping to receive 3 whiteboards for their classrooms. The total of these costs is approximately $550, so we've updated the fundraiser goal to reflect this current need!

Paoyhan is a community we have not completed a fundraiser for in the past, so we feel honored to expand our support to additional Shipibo communities across the region.

Just a few dollars can support a child's full set of materials which includes a notebook, pen, pencil, and pencil sharpener. Which means the smallest amount donated can provide essential supplies to support their education! Thank you for your consideration and any support you can offer! We'll continue to update regularly as milestones are achieved.

This weekend ✨
Our workshop and facilitation mentorship is happening!
We are SO excited to hold this for the very first time, and with a smaller size group which allows us to really focus on 1:1 practice and feedback. We still have some space left with beautiful tepi options to pick from, so if you are feeling called to step into this practice further, building on your existing personal relationship with Hapé, please send us a message and let’s chat about signing up!

Join us this weekend for Council! This will be the last Council hosted by Connor for a while — his family is heading off for some summer travel through Central America and then back to Peru! 🇵🇪

We had lots of new faces at last month’s Council, so we wanted to remind everyone that the upcoming Council is held at our regular Heartspace Yurt meeting spot. We hope to see you there!

This weekend we celebrate the one year anniversary of our historic exemption to legally use Ayahuasca in sacred ceremony. It was momentous, a prayer that has been held for many years.

And yet, we continue to work and go to battle because we don’t believe we crossed the finish line. It doesn’t end with ayahuasca in the hands of just us. It belongs alongside our elders, the wisdom keepers and lineage holders who have blessed our lives with these ceremonies and teachings. Because of that, for the last year we have been taking steps to apply for religious visas for our Shipibo Ceremonial Leaders. There are many requirements and steps to take before our application is complete. Red tape exists and sometimes feels so intentional to keep minority religious organizations like ourselves excluded from eligibility. But we don’t believe we’ve made it this far to end here.

Our prayer has always been to open pathways if we are meant to walk them, to be of service in something so much greater than ourselves. We ask you to join us in this prayer - may connections be made, may resources be uncovered, may opportunities present themselves, only where they are deeply aligned with what is meant to be. ✨

IRAKE for your support and witnessing. We are so grateful for each of you!

If you’d like to learn more about our journey, we invite you to join Taylor and Connor at this upcoming virtual speaking panel, where we will share the story and answer questions about the exemption process that started it all!

Introducing Sarah, our dear sister, team member, and Integration Director for Church of Gaia. Sarah brings such heart and soul to our community with her deep compassion, commitment to safety and integrity, and presence that feels like a warm cozy blanket!

Over several years, Sarah has played an essential role in reviewing and shaping training documents and internal procedures for the team, while dedicating significant time to supporting members (and our facilitation team!) before and after ceremonies through thoughtful preparation and integration care. She is a survivor of complex trauma, and her healing journey with sacred plants informs her 1:1 support and integration work with other trauma survivors.

Sarah currently lives with her husband and children in Mexico, but we are SO excited because she will be visiting here in Spokane all summer long, joining community events when she can and holding Women’s+ Circle in August! We will be sure to give her a warm welcome 🤎

Also, be sure to check out Sarah’s newly launched integration business .integration as an incredible resource for support! 🫶🏼

I started working with to***co to rewrite my distorted understanding of it. To maybe even try and heal or repair my ancestors’ role in its harm from colonialism. What unfolded from there has been one of the most important relationships in my life full of lessons and deep listening, and I’m so incredibly grateful.
