We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Helen Ryde, a member of the QDC steering committee. Helen’s tireless advocacy and leadership will be greatly missed by all of us at the QDC and the greater United Methodist Church. We are grateful for you, Helen.

The United Methodist studies professor at the Pacific School of Religion has been elected a bishop by The United Methodist Church’s Western Jurisdiction. She is the denomination’s third openly gay and married bishop.
