Meditation gently quiets the mind, allowing us to see our thoughts and emotions with more clearly, soften our reactivity, and meet life with greater steadiness, compassion, and understanding.

We conclude with the incense offering of Oshoko as an expression of gratitude and reverence for the teachings.
Afterwhich, we will gather for a light lunch and snacks, refreshments, and occasional open discussion.

Each class explores the teachings of Jลdo Shinshลซ in a welcoming and conversational setting with "Shin Buddhism: Bits of Rubble Turned into Gold" by Teitetsu Unno.
We will be reflecting on how the teachings of Shinran Shลnin, coming from the Buddha, through the Seven Masters of India, China, and Japan can help us understand ourselves, our everyday lives, and the path of gratitude.

Join us Wednesday evenings at the Spokane Buddhist Temple as monastics from ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ ๐๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ guide us through the Buddhaโs teachings using "Open Heart, Clear Mind" by Venerable Thubten Chodron, sharing both wisdom and lived practice.
Each gathering includes thoughtful discussion and concludes with open Q&A , welcoming 20-35 participants each week into a warm and engaging learning environment.
