Hello everyone! This week, I want to focus on a couple of activities we had this past weekend.
I have to shout out Colby this week. He's one of our 8th grade students who has been planning and facilitating some of our Friday Evening Middle School activities. Last Friday was his third event and was honestly his best so far. It was amazing! He created a presentation about St. Patrick and educated his peers on his life and legacy. It was awesome! Congratulations to Colby!

I also want to shout out all of the amazing youth and adult volunteers who made our Lenten Adventure Day such a wonderful event! Thank you all so much! I was asked to not share the name of this person, but someone kindly offered to pay for the cost of the camp so that it could be free for every child who attends. We had about 40 students join us! This person truly blessed us!

Hello everyone! Last week, I spoke about The Summit and Shadow Stations of the Cross. This week, I wanted to mention all of the amazing work being done by our youth at Giving Back Food Pantry here in Southington. Giving Back is operated by Tabernacle Church. We've been helping to bag the groceries that they give away every other Saturday, and then we assist with distribution!

All Middle School students are invited to join us for our next Game Night @ The Haven tonight from 6PM to 8:30PM. We'll have Ziti for dinner, cake for dessert, discussion about Finding God all around us, time to finish our movie, and we'll close with an Advent Prayer Service.

We had 7 wonderful youth join us between Friday and Saturday at Giving Back Food Pantry. On Friday, four wonderful teens bagged all of the groceries to prepare for this morning.

Then between 8AM and 10AM, this morning, we provided groceries to 112 people! Pictured, we have Avielle, Noah, and Sam who all did an incredible job distributing groceries to those in need. They worked very hard! Thank you and thank you to all of our youth volunteers on Fridays and Saturdays for all they've done to support the Giving Back Food Pantry and all those it serves.

All students entering Grade 6 through grade 8 are invited to join us for our next Summer Game Night from 5:30PM to 8:00PM at St. Luke Haven!

We'll host a Minecraft Construction Tournament (Build something from our Faith or something that could represent a story from the Bible). We'll also have a taco bar, and we'll have another wonderful lesson from Young-Catholics called ๐‘๐ž๐š๐๐ฒ ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ based on this upcoming Sundays Mass Readings.

Per Young-Catholics, "Many young people think faith is only for Sundays or special events. But Jesus wants His followers to live their faith daily. This lesson will encourage youth to see faith as part of their everyday life. It will challenge them to take small but real steps toward a stronger relationship with God." This is the first step toward Rooting our lives in Jesus and the Faith.
