Today's message from the American Humanist Association (AHA): "You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give." - Khalil Gibran

Being present costs nothing and means everything. When did you last give your full, undivided attention to someone without reservation?

Today's message from the American Humanist Association (AHA): "People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed. Never throw out anyone." - Audrey Hepburn

Believing in someone's capacity to change is one of the most radical and humanist acts available to us.

Today's message from the American Humanist Association: "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand." - Albert Einstein

“The Things We Carry”

"We Are Carried" by Sarah Rian
We are carried.
We are carried in bellies, in arms,
in love, in hope,
in caskets, in urns,
in grief, in memories,
our whole lives and into the next.

Reminder: As you travel the remaining weeks of summer, take a small sample of waters that you may encounter. We will have our Water Communion and beginning of the New Church Year on September 13th with Rev. Tasha. It can be waters from your travels, a local favorite spot, or tap water from your home.

Today's message from the American Humanist Association (AHA): "I do not ask the wounded person how he feels, I myself become the wounded person." - Walt Whitman

Humanism asks us to close the gap between ourselves and others. Who are you being called to show up for more fully?

Today's message from the American Humanist Association (AHA): "Do not wait for someone else to come and speak for you. It's you who can change the world." - Malala Yousafzai

The change we need has always lived in ordinary people who didn't wait for someone more qualified, more courageous, or more ready to step up.
