Celebrating our first wonderful year of having Robert Lauderdale Sr and our Lady L leading us in ministry here at Mt. Zion.

Funny name. Powerful story.

Gehazi probably isn’t the first Bible character who comes to mind. (And yes, we know—you’re still trying to figure out how to pronounce it. 😄)

But this relatively minor character has a pretty major lesson for the rest of us.

He had access to incredible things. He watched miracles happen. But then he started wanting something that wasn’t his to have.

Access. Appetite. Aftermath.

Turns out, Gehazi’s story isn’t nearly as ancient as it sounds.

Because who among us hasn’t chased something we thought would make life better—only to discover it came with a price tag we didn’t see?

We learned so much about how The Warming Shelter helps individuals follow a tiered pathway toward stability. Amazing work! Wonderful to learn how we can come alongside our neighbors, love and serve them well and be the hands and feet of Jesus to people who are precious to Christ.
