Some of our girls worked on their kid care badge this week with a precious baby girl. Who needs baby dolls when you can have the real thing!! Our girls were naturals! They learned how to bottle feed, change diapers, swaddle, and cuddle this sweet baby. With CPR training, these girls are going to be best babysitters in town!! ❤️

Cake decorating at its finest! Our girls have had the opportunity to learn about designing, baking, frosting and decorating their own cakes. The Explorers learned to make chocolate molds and the Pi/Pas had local baker, Jami Causey, in to demonstrate piping techniques. Several girls took these skills home to complete their own creations and brought in the "results" to share - beautiful AND tasty!

Cake decorating may seem simple at first, but the requirements for this badge include baking their own cakes, making their own icing and chocolate or candy decor, learning when and how to use several different types of icing, and completing a shaped cake and a two-layer cake. If you see an American Heritage Girl with her Cake Decorating badge, you can rest assured any cake she makes will be executed with knowledge and skill!
