How do we address where we are right now in our training, in our relationship to the path that the Buddha set forth?

This Tuesday, September 8, we will begin the first course in a series about the path of the noble ones – an introduction to the ground, or view, of the foundational vehicle.

You can join us online or onsite at Nalanda West, Tuesday evenings from September 8 till October 20, 6 to 7:30 PM (Pacific Time).

Register at seattle.nalandabodhi.org

In his kickoff talk last Tuesday, Mitra Tyler Dewar pointed to some of the views and practices taught in the Hinayana to more skillfully address where we are right now in our training, including the four realities or truths of the noble ones.

He also reminded us of one of the famous quotations of the Buddha’s earliest foundational vehicle teachings, preserved in the Tibetan tradition: “I have taught you the methods for liberation, but know that liberation itself is up to you.”

Please join us for this course on the Buddha’s teachings on the path of individual liberation.

Mindfulness for Lazy Meditators

“To be honest with ourselves, we’re not really here to meditate, are we? We want to feel better… without putting in too much effort.” — Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, Nalanda West, April 5, 2026

That's how Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche opened the first teaching in our Mindfulness for Lazy Meditators series — and the room laughed because it was true.

Join us for Rinpoche's next teaching in this series! Onsite only at Nalanda West.
