Vintage Faith Church

Vintage Faith Church Vintage Faith Church is a church in Santa Cruz, California for those seeking a fresh approach to Christian spirituality and the teachings of Jesus.

Vintage Faith Church.... strives to reflect the ancient roots and values of early Christianity in our contemporary context. We value "Being the Church" vs. "Going to Church" and are a multi-generational church, family based with youth and college-age ministries church. We highly value thinking, question-asking, creativity and the arts as we strive to live out the love of Jesus to the world around us.

Before knowing God, individuals are spiritually dead, separated from God by their self-centered human nature. Salvation is through God’s love and mercy, and is offered as a gift to all of humanity. We are saved by the grace of God, not through our own efforts or performance, and brought from death to life.

Join us on Sunday at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM as Sara Bentley reminds us what it really means to be saved by grace and how that knowledge frees us to live a life characterized by contentment, love, and forgiveness.

We're delighted to partner with Foster the City to see their vision of “a church for every child” realized here in Santa Cruz! Foster the City equips families from within the local church to open their homes to children in the foster care system, providing structure, education, and stability. The model relies on equipping support friends who can provide critical support at every stage of the fostering journey, which can be challenging! If you are interested in learning more, please consider joining us at Vintage Faith Church on June 2 at 6:30 PM. Sign up here:

When was the last time you experienced true wonder? We tend to live busy, distracted lives and rarely encounter the unexpected moments that make us stop and really notice. As we continue our series in Ephesians, there’s an invitation to look deeply at God and his power. When we reflect on the richness of God’s grace in the world and in our lives, we can’t help but live in wonder.

Join us on Sunday at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM as Adrian Moreno encourages us to really see God’s power on display through Jesus and allow that truth to deepen our wonder in response.

Understanding our identity helps us to live purposefully. This week in our Ephesians series, we will look at what it means to have our identity rooted in being chosen by God. To be marked as God's possession is to be set apart, and that reality offers assurance, peace, and confidence in our relationship with God.

Join us on Sunday at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM as Adrian Moreno helps us to understand our identity in Christ and challenges us to live in a manner worthy of our calling as God’s own.

We believe regular Bible reading and study is an important part of our faith. We also realize that it can be tough to know where to start or how to study the Bible in a practical way. In an effort to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn how to read, dig into and make sense of the Bible, we are providing a training in Bible study skills with Dan Kimball. This class is suitable for Middle School age and up!

Join us for Part 1 of How to Study the Bible on Sunday, May 17 from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM (lunch is provided). Register for free today so we can be sure to have enough materials and food: https://vfchurch.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3432238

As we continue through the book of Ephesians, we are invited to look deeply at God's plan. Regardless of the circumstances around us, we can feel secure knowing that everything God is doing is according to his plan and his will for the world. Understanding that we are part of that plan should motivate us to live purposefully – seeking to align our lives with God's will.

Join us on Sunday at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM as Dan Kimball digs into Scripture to show us how God's ultimate plan points to Jesus and that nothing in our lives happens outside of his plan and control.

The word "blessed" is everywhere in our culture – on coffee mugs, memes and hashtags –– but what does it really mean? In the Bible, being blessed always begins with the free gift of God's grace. As we continue our journey through the book of Ephesians, we will examine what it truly means for God to bless us and how we can bless God in return.

Join us on Sunday at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM as Sara Bentley walks us through Scripture to show us the history of God's extravagant gift of grace and what it means to be blessed.

We live in a broken world and each one of us may be experiencing our own brokenness; failed relationships, shattered faith, ailing health, problematic finances, unfair justice and lack of purpose - among other struggles.

But God is the ultimate restorer. The threads of redemption and restoration are woven throughout the entire Bible. God desires to heal, renew and bring back what is lost or broken.

You are invited to:
