The constant refrain from our Protege cohort one month in — is that this class time has become such a refreshing part of the week. We leave the space feeling filled up by God’s Spirit & edified by the church body. Tonight we dove into the meaning of being IN CHRIST… and Christ being in us. Our cohort shared candidly, vulnerably, and thoughtfully.
It’s in this space where for me (Naseem speaking), I am convicted and reminded of the beauty of the community of believers gathered in Christ’s name. We need one another. We lift up one another’s faith in community. We bear one another’s burdens and we are able to spur on one another on towards love and good works.
I think this is a glimpse of what Paul meant by being filled with the fullness of God as we are rooted and grounded in His great love.

Prayer is powerful. Prayer changes things. And yet prayer often feels like a mystery to many of us. When we pray it can feel like we are just speaking words into the air. Does God really hear me when I pray? And it can feel like our prayers simply hit the ceiling and fall flat to the ground. Did I use the right words to break through the atmosphere for God to work? How do we pray where we experience the presence and power of God in our lives? How do we learn to pray in a way that develops a life-giving soul shaping relationship with our Heavenly Father?

Starting THIS SUNDAY, our church will be embarking on 40 days of prayer together. We believe that prayer is the center-point of life with God and our opportunity to interact with the Creator God and participate in His work of bringing redemption to earth. 🙏🏽

We're excited to pass out a 40-day devotional book our team has created for you to grab on Sunday.

Awakening is looking for a part-time Kids Coordinator who will work with and support the Kids Pastor by helping to oversee and execute the weekend kids ministry. The Kids Coordinator will also assist with church events that involve kids and their families, and help in other areas of kids ministry as needed. Are you interested? Today we celebrated turning TEN years old. A decade of God’s faithfulness, life transformation, discipleship, community, and belonging. Belonging to the body of Christ and belonging to one another. We are grateful for the ways the Holy Spirit moved today & for gift of being able to celebrate together.
