Join us Sunday, May 31, for a Divine Liturgy to commemorate the Great Feast of Pentecost.
Orthros: 8:15 AM
Divine Liturgy: 9:30 AM

Pentecost celebrates the fulfillment of Christ's promise to send the Holy Spirit. On this day, the Apostles received the Holy Spirit, were empowered to proclaim the Gospel to all nations, and brought thousands into the faith through baptism. Pentecost marks the beginning of the Apostles' ministry, the priesthood of grace, and the sacramental life of the Church, through which the Gospel would spread to the ends of the earth.

Apolytikion of the Feast.
Mode pl. 4.
Blessed are You, O Christ our God. You sent down the Holy Spirit into the fishermen, and You gave them knowledge and wisdom in everything; and through them, as in a net, You caught the whole world. O Lord who loves humanity, glory to You!

δʹ.

We’re back with another Byzantine Chant class!

Join us as we review last week’s Doxastikon of Pascha and begin exploring the enharmonic scale using your chant cheat sheets as a guide. We’ll also analyze the Third Mode Kekragaria (“Lord, I Have Cried” / “Let My Prayer Arise”) and revisit the Third Mode Resurrectional Apolytikion from February.
Whether you’re building on what you’ve learned or joining us ready to deepen your understanding, this class offers practical study in the theology, structure, and beauty of our sacred chant tradition.

Please email Nikos Makarios at [email protected] to register.
