Q. What is the first article of the Apostles’ Creed?

A. “I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.”

Reflection:
The Christian faith begins with God. Before we talk about ourselves, our problems, or even our calling, we confess that God is Father, Almighty, and Creator. This means the world is not random, our lives are not accidents, and creation belongs to God.

Scripture to Read:
Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

Question for Today:
How does believing God is Creator change the way I see my life, my family, and the world around me?

Prayer:
God our Father, Almighty Maker of heaven and earth, help me trust that my life is in Your hands. Teach me to honor You as Creator and to live each day as one who belongs to You. Amen.

✝️
Join us Sunday for worship at 10:00am. The message for Trinity Sunday is entitled, “Every Sunday Is a Day of the Holy Trinity.”

Trinity Sunday is different from many other holy days in the Christian year—it centers on the mystery of God’s own being: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We’re saving you a seat.

What does a Christian believe?
A. All that is promised in the gospel. A summary is found in the Apostles’ Creed, which affirms our faith in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Reflection:
Christian faith is not just believing random religious ideas. It is trusting the good news of God’s promise in Jesus Christ. The Apostles’ Creed helps us confess that our faith is centered on the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Scripture to Read:
Romans 10:9, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Question for Today:
Do I simply know Christian beliefs, or am I personally trusting the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Prayer:
Lord, strengthen my faith in the gospel. Help me believe with my heart, confess with my mouth, and live each day trusting You as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

How do you live in the communion of the Holy Spirit?

A. By the Holy Spirit, I am made one with the Lord Jesus Christ. I am baptized into Christ’s body, the church. As a member of this community, I trust in God’s Word, share in the Lord’s Supper, and turn to God in prayer. As I grow in grace and knowledge, I am led to do the good works that God intends for my life.

Reflection:
The Holy Spirit does not lead us into isolation. The Spirit joins us to Christ and connects us to the church. We grow through God’s Word, the Lord’s Supper, prayer, and a life of service.

Scripture to Read:
1 Corinthians 12:13, “For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body…”

Question for Today:
How can I grow today through God’s Word, prayer, worship, and service?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, unite me more deeply with Jesus Christ and His church. Help me grow in grace, trust God’s Word, pray faithfully, and do the good works You have prepared for my life. Amen.
