We are on the way to the prison this week to proclaim freedom to the prisoners in Jesus name! Join us in prayer over everyone traveling and for the Holy Spirit of God to meet every incarcerated individual with the hope, grace and truth of Jesus. “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” -Luke 4:18

Jesus told a story that flips every metric we use for success.

Leave the 99. Go after the one.

It's not efficient. It's not scalable. It's not a strategy any growth coach would recommend.

But it's the heart of the gospel, and it's the call on anyone who follows Him.

Here are 5 verses about leaving the 99, with one practical move for each:

1. Matthew 18:12 — notice the overlooked one
2. Luke 15:4 — pursue until you find them
3. Luke 19:10 — seeking is active, not passive
4. Ezekiel 34:16 — search, bind, strengthen
5. Luke 15:7 — celebrate the one like heaven does

El Paso was a movie! So grateful to Pastors and and our whole family! We were honored to lock arms for the Kingdom. So many great people to meet, podcasts filmed, prison dates and tours locked in and those previously incarcerated who came out that we got to meet. As always we can’t wait to lock arms again! TYPE AMEN IF YOU BELIEVE JESUS SETS PEOPLE FREE IN PRISON! 🙌 WE ARE GOING BACK! Next weekend we have the opportunity to baptize men in this prison again. On our last visit this man and over 80 men were baptized and celebrated for making decisions for Jesus! This time we are taking a lot of our friends for a time of music, worship and message of HOPE!

This weekend was special. We got to hangout with Doug who we met and ministered to for three years in prison. He’s been out almost a year and we are witnessing the days we used to pray for.

As Doug was being rehabilitated, completing many classes and obtaining his HVAC certification in prison he was praying and working on restoring his relationship with his children.

In a year he’s obtained a successful job, Church family, accountability and volunteers with many organizations, and when he walked in the door of my house to spend the weekend with me and my family with his children, it was definitely a GOD moment.

This is a bold reminder of why we do… a majority of people will walk out of prison and do every day. Doug is proof that rehabilitation works when you put forth the effort and allow God to be in the middle of your story. I’M SO PROUD OF HIM!!

Worthy People is more than just a podcast or a prison visit. It’s real life. And there’s nothing more rewarding than to watch people rebuild their lives, rooted in their faith and serving God while doing things the right way.

I’m honored to know him and continue to watch God rewrite his story. 🙏👏

The question on my heart today is from Romans 10:14 where Paul asked “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”

How does those unseen in the segregated population hear the gospel?

We are grateful to go to these restricted areas and tier walk 1-4 floors out of sometimes 10+ pods and pray with them.

But when we do, we hear a lot of thanks for our podcast and weekly free Christian movies on their inmate tablets.

THIS IS HOW WE REACH THEM!

When they seem forgotten and shut off from the prison, locked behind a door they’re are aware of their mistakes but what rings louder isn’t a label of their past but a God who sees them and loves them and reaches through a tablet to give them HOPE. Not just in Texas but across the entire United States where our content is available on inmate tablets.

THANK YOU, CBC Global team, for planning and leading so well to make this past weekend's Saturday Serve events a success. Thank you to every volunteer who signed up to write a postcard of encouragement or drop off soap, to help spread the good news of Jesus to our incarcerated brothers and sisters.
