Grove ICE Agreement!

ATTENTION CHINA GROVE RESIDENTS:

At the Sep 3, 2026, China Grove CC meeting, the council will address this important issue:

The China Grove Police Department entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to participate in the 287(g) Program under the Task Force Model that would enforce immigration law, detain people and ask them for their papers, and allow them to work closely with ICE.

The city of China Grove is now trying to decide whether it is to their advantage to pursue this agreement given the risks that have been documented which include: racial profiling, civil rights violations, community trust and transparency, and potential liability.

Please call Mayor Johnson at (210) 648-4923 and urge him and the city council members to cancel the 287g agreement the city has signed with ICE immediately.

And attend the Sep 3 city council meeting of China Grove held at 2412 FM 1516 S, China Grove, TX 78263. The use of FLOCK cameras will also be voted on in this meeting.
