Grant Neighborhood is the north gateway to Oregon's Capitol Mall. Located at the north end of downtown Salem, it borders the Mall and encompasses a beautiful, historic part of Salem. Nearly all of our homes and buildings date to between about 1900 and 1940. We have one neighborhood park, Grant Park which is adjacent to Grant Community School. Grant Community School is a dual language immersion sch

ool and the only Kindergarten through 8th grade public school in Salem. Our neighborhood boasts about 150 businesses, six churches, numerous historic buildings, and about 1275 households. The Grant Neighborhood Association was founded February 2, 1976 and encompasses the smallest area of any of the nineteen Salem Neighborhoods.

The 2nd Annual Citywide Garage Sale Day is happening Saturday, June 6! Get ready for a fun day of shopping second hand and meeting neighbors!

Households across the city will be hosting garage sales throughout the day, creating a fun community-wide treasure hunt full of secondhand finds, reuse, and community connection.

We’ve created an interactive map with participating addresses so shoppers can plan their route. Each sale will have its own hours, and many homes will also have signage posted to help guide shoppers.

Hogares de toda la ciudad estarán organizando ventas de garaje durante el día, creando una divertida búsqueda de tesoros llena de artículos reutilizados, hallazgos únicos y conexión comunitaria.

It’s that time again. We don’t meet in July, so this meeting will be a doozy! Ever wonder who designs the agendas? It’s Jeanne, our longtime secretary. And — her minutes are astoundingly detailed and accurate. We all need a Jeanne.

The giant map of Salem Neighborhood Associations was a big hit - we even considered printing stickers that say “I found my NA!” Salem is uniquely brilliant at fostering and supporting community engagement through NA’s. Plus, we got to spend ALL day absorbing the positive energy of Saturday Market. A win-win!
