Christ The King Anglican Church Love God - Become Disciples - Serve Others

We are part of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese of the Anglican Church in North America. ACNA-anglicanchurch.net FR. The Rev.

Wednesday Evening Weekly Online Bible Study

The next study will use the book ”Life Lessons from Acts” by Max Lucado. "What God did for the early Christians, He can do for you. Can anyone encounter the resurrected Christ and remain unchanged? Understanding the most compelling event in the history of humankind changed the disciples. Having been bought face to face with God, they couldn't remain the

same. Filled with the Holy Spirit, bold in their declarations, confidently trusting Christ daily, their days were full of witnessing, ministering, solving problems, and resolving differences. They lived a God-centered life, followed God's leading, and saw God's faithfulness. They were transformed. They founded the early church and gave us a legacy of faith. The earliest Christians demonstrate that what God did for them, he longs to do for you." We will once again meet via Zoom on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM and will start on October 5th. As all our previous studies, we will read and study the lessons together during our Zoom meeting. There will be no "homework", just studying God's Word together and learning together. Please pray about joining us in this study. You may contact Terri at the church for more information or to sign up. DAVID’S WEEKLY SCHEDULE includes Thursday study day and Friday day off. For emergencies on these days please email [email protected] or call 904-377-3726. Non-emergency messages left on these days will be returned after Friday. As the Anglican Church in North America (the Province), being a part of the One, Holy, catholic, and Apostolic Church of Christ, we believe and confess Jesus Christ to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no one comes to the Father but by Him. We value the Holy Scripture as the infallible Word of God. The Bible guides us in every aspect of life. Our mission is the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. We recognize Christ Jesus as our Lord, Savior, King, and Redeemer. He is the Head of our congregation and the Lord of all creation. As a congregation in the Anglican Communion, we follow the Book of Common Prayer 2019 in our worship gatherings. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Spirit is our Counselor and ever present help in both our personal and corporate life. Our desire is that worship at Christ The King Anglican Church be truly a celebration of God's grace, love, and truth of the Gospel.

** REMINDER **

FOOD FOR FAMILIES

As we give thanks for God’s many blessings, let us also remember those in need. As the cost of necessities keep rising, we continue to trust in God and discern ways to offer practical care to the more vulnerable among us experiencing food insecurity. An opportunity is offered to reach out to homeless families and individuals in our community, particularly as the children will be out of school for the summer.

Especially needed are the following: canned chicken and tuna, canned spaghetti and ravioli meals, vienna sausages, single serving fruit cups, peanut butter and jelly, and canned chili, chicken and dumplings and stew.

THIS SUNDAY, THE LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH NONPERISHABLE food items will be collected to be delivered to the Homeless Coalition for distribution. Please check your cupboards and pantries and place your donations in the baskets in the entry of the church.

Because most of the canned goods do not have pull tabs, there is also a need for can openers. A bin is located in the entry of the church to donate can openers.

Thank you to the Emergency Services & Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County for their programs to help homeless families, giving hope for a better future.

We are blessed to partner with E.S.H.C. and to be a blessing to homeless families in need.
