PENTECOST CELEBRATION – May 24, 2026
Join us for Trinity’s Pentecost celebration this Sunday at 10:00 am.
This great festival day of the church is traditionally held 50 days after Easter and marks the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and the official birth of the Christian Church. Trinity will be celebrating Pentecost with praise and very special music. Where else can you hear the joyful noise of organ, bagpipes, trumpet, and tuba playing together?

The next Trinity book club will will meet on Monday, January 12 at 7:30, to discuss "Frozen River," by Ariel Lawton. Contact John Platt for details to join the discussion!

The New York Times described it as "a gripping historical mystery
inspired by the life and diary of Martha Ballard, a
renowned 18th-century midwife who defied the
legal system and wrote herself into American
history."

The follow up for a date to be determined will be"By
Any Other Name' by Jodi Picoult, a novel inspired
"about two women, centuries apart—one of whom
is the real author of Shakespeare’s plays—who are
both forced to hide behind another name." It's long
(560 pages), but evidently entrancing; maybe with
our popular "Hamnet" coming very soon as a movie
starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal.

BURNING BOOKS TRINITY BOOK CLUB:
The first Burning Books session for this year is Mon.,
Sept. 8 at 7:30 pm. We'll be discussing Summer by
Edith Wharton, which Wiki-media describes as
having "themes that include social class, the role of
women in society, destructive relationships, sexual
awakening and the desire of its protagonist, named
Charity Royall."
